Malcolm Gladwell Shilling For Bank of America

malcolm gladwell.jpg
Malcolm Gladwell, author of Blink and The Tipping Point among other books, has a new gig: doing speaking engagements for Bank of America. Somehow nobody seems to have known about this, and Bank of America only released the press release today. Gladwell likes money almost as much as he likes pop pseudo-science!

From the release:

Taking another step in its ongoing effort to encourage small business growth, Bank of America today announced it has conducted a series of events with Malcolm Gladwell to deliver quality education and actionable advice to small business owners in various markets throughout the country. This program, entitled "Bank of America Small Business Speaker Series: A Conversation with Malcolm Gladwell," was held in Los Angeles on September 27, in Dallas on November 3, and in Washington, D.C., on November 15.

Each of the events apparently attracted around 200 people. No word on what Bank of America paid him. Journalism: a glamour industry, as always.

Wow, big surprise, he's already a capitalist tool. I wonder if people will get to pluck a free gift out of that messy mop on his head as part of the deal?
