Manhattan Thief on Mini-Crime Spree -- Can You Identify Him?

The NYPD is asking for help tonight nabbing the man in this video, who went on a mini crime spree Wednesday night.

Details after the jump!

According to police, this guy stopped in at Soul Fixin's restaurant (225 W 28th Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues) at about 8:49 Wednesday night, announced that he had a gun, and demanded money. Then he grabbed the tip jar and absconded.

Petty. Very petty.

But then, just about 40 minutes later, he hit the Blimpie at 67 W 23rd Street (east of 6th Avenue). He asked for coffee, and when a worker opened up the cash register, dude grabbed for the cash. After some fisticuffs with the worker, our suspect made himself scarce.

Witnesses say he was about 5 feet 7, and was maybe 25 years old.

Take a good look at the video, and if you recognize him, call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS, or go to the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or text your tip to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

Also, we have to point out, for once, a suspect is wearing not a Yankees cap but a Mets cap. And that's just wrong.
