The Cain-Gingrich Debate Was So Fierce, They Didn't Even Kiss At the End


The above clip shows one of the tensest moments from last night's debate between Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich. This no-holds-barred throwdown held in Texas was full of accusations, including Gingrich lambasting his opponent, "You had a great radio show," and Cain making the shocking assertion, "You spent a lot of years successfully in Congress."

The event was heralded as a throwback to the Lincoln-Douglas debates, which were a series of seven grueling, policy-heavy discussions. Those sessions look like pillow fights compared to Cain and Gingrich's barroom brawl.

Politico reports audience members had to pay much as $150 for a seat, but we're certain they only used the edge. You can watch the entire debate here, but we warn you, some of the candidates' responses are full of both vitriol and complex specificities about government. See below for an example:
