Man Loses 16 Pounds on the Patented Coors Light Snowdrift Diet

In a TRUE STORY that surely has the makers of Coors Light peeing themselves in glee (or pouring Coors Lights down their pants?), a 52-year-old man named Clifton Vial survived being stranded in his Toyota in an Alaskan snowdrift for three days in negative-degree temperatures, with no cell service and only a few cans of frozen Coors Light to sustain him. Not only did he survive, he also lost 16 pounds, proving that you can accomplish anything you really set your mind to.

Before you try this at home, know that Vial had to eat the Coors Light after cutting the lids off and digging it out with a knife, because it was frozen solid. Also know that this is a survival/diet method recommended by absolutely no one, not even Vial himself:

"I felt really pissed at myself," Vial said. "I shouldn't have been out there by myself unprepared for what I knew was possible."

A word to the wise: If you're going out in a snowdrift, even if you're in your Toyota, dress warmly, bring snacks and other supplies, and keep your beer in a temperature-controlled environment. Buy cans, just in case.

After being found by rescuers 60 hours after he got stuck, Vial was awarded with "a Snickers bar and orange soda."

America!
