Oh, New Year's Eve. The most dreaded of holidays is fast approaching. CBS New York reports that the Times Square Ball is being installed today. But where should you venture come December 31? Luckily Priceline.com made a list of the"Top 50 New Year's Destinations for U.S. Travelers." (Read: "top New Year's Destinations To Stay Away From.")

According to a press release, the Priceline list is "based on thousands of hotel booking requests made by customers of its Name Your Own PriceĀ® hotel service for the New Year's weekend." (Read: how many tourists will be there.) Here are the New York neighborhoods that got the honor and their respective rankings on the list. You've been warned.

1. Times Square/Theater District 3. New York City, Midtown West 5. Midtown East 6. Central Park South 7. Madison Square Garden/Convention Center Area 9. Empire State Building Area 10. Chelsea Area 12. Hell's Kitchen 15. Upper East Side 19. Upper West Side 28. Queensborough Bridge Area 33. Soho/Tribeca 35. Downtown/Financial District 46. Lower East Side

It seems that you are likely going to be safest outside of Manhattan, but personally, when the night actually comes around, we like staying inside, drinking champagne and hoping moments like this happen on live TV.
