Armed Bronx Jacket Thief on the Loose

A man was robbed at gunpoint for his orange Marmot jacket in the Bronx recently, cops say.

The sartorially minded scumbag (pictured here) approached a man on the corner of Hunts Point Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard on Dec. 14, pulled out a gun, took the victim's coat and nothing else, and then fled the scene, cops report in a just-released statement.

The suspect is said to be a 5-10 black male between the ages of 18 and 20.

The victim was not injured.

This is not the first time, however, that armed robberies have taken place over uber-popular Marmot jackets. In March, a Bronx teen was chased and killed over his Marmot coat.

Think you know whodunit? Then call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit tips at nypdcrimestoppers.com or text info to 274637 (CRIMES), entering TIP577.
