• Is this really a surprise? This has been going on more than 40 years. Always corrupt and always will be. Follow the money and you get corruption. People are inherently corrupt.

• The DEA deals all the drugs. This has been happening forever and The Village Voice broke those stories about Barry Seal and Oliver North selling cocaine back in 85/86. ANd then they lock up 1 million people on drug charges here??? This is grounds for revolution.

• Hear, Hear!  HW Bush was drug dealing scum, Clinton followed and used his own product. I hate it when they honor that scumbag.  The NRA supports keeping firearms out of the hands of many of the non-violent offenders that are jailed as a result of these scams. Vote Ron Paul 2012, legalize drugs and put these scum out of business for good.

• Now when we comment publicly we are considered reporters and are being documented by Home Land Security....so, here goes...this is not a drill.....our government launders money, sells drugs, transport drugs and sells millions of dollars of weapons to the cartels....my question is: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DRUG DEALERS AND THE US GOVERNMENT?

• If this story is true, considering it comes from the NY Times, then what immunity cloaks the people in DEA, etc. from prosecution?  One can readily imagine numerous felonies, if the story is true.  A grand jury should be given an investigative mandate.  It can return indictments against federal agents and proscuters as well as civilians.  There is no exemption n law for engaging in drug commerce.  None.  A controlled buy by anordinary narc is the end of commerce: it stops with the police.  If this story is true, then the commerce was aided and did not stop. There is no immunity in law for that. A grand jury could indict based on facts and application of law.  The US AG has aready said he did not know of Fast and Furious, thus, there is no immunity from top down. This is a serious article - if true.

• And what about Operation Fast & Furious??? What's the excuse?

• The Mexican authorities didn't even know about Operation Fast and Furious. "Mexican authorities to kill or capture dozens of high-ranking and mid level drug dealers." was probably a blatant lie or they killed the cartels who didn't pay the Feds their cut. The New York Times is owned by the very people banking off cartel money. This is a half story.

Wachovia, to stay in business a few years longer, laundered $387 BILLION for Mexican drug cartels Operation Fast and Furious paid for $200 MILLION in coke with American made firearms to demonize the 2nd Amendment Operation Gun Runner did the same thing I think it's pretty clear who the drug cartels are.  The DEA, the CIA, the FBI, Coast Guard, Border Patrol, the BAFT-E, and the DoJ are NOTHING but a bunch of drug running SCUM trying to destroy our country with highly addictive drugs. They flood our streets with the most addictive substances known to man, then they bust the users and stick them in the prisons that are owned by BANKSTERS receiving tax-payer dollars based on the number of inmates they house.  The inmates are put to work at 25 cents an hour and make goods that put union workers out of work, and compete against the Chinese and Mexican slave labor markets. We have over 2 MILLION people in prisons and jails throughout the country and 70% of those people are for non-violent drug offenses, and are disproportionately minority, mainly black and hispanic. WAKE UP AMERICA, our government are drug dealing SCUM, and it goes right to the top with Goldman Sachs paid puppets like Bush and Obama.  BTW  Mitt Romney's #1 campaign contributor, like Obama, like Bush, like Clinton, is/was GOLDMAN SACHS!  If we keep electing these SCUM, our country is doomed!
