Fidel Castro, former president of Cuba, wants a robot to be president of America, the Spanish-language daily reports.

In an op-ed published in Cuba on Monday, Castro wrote that Barack Obama is a "good talker" and "desperately seeking re-election," according to El Diario.

He still thinks that Republicans and especially Tea Partiers are worse than Obama and the rest of the Democrats, but he ultimately wants a robot in power, the paper notes.

"Isn't the worst part that there isn't even a robot in the White House who could run the U.S. and prevent a war that would end our species?" Castro asked in his column.

Castro then argued that 90 percent of Americans would vote for the robot over any current candidate.
