Something Nice Happened on the Subway

Check out what happened on the subway, which is news, because it involves two people of different races and genders joining together in a dreaded place of lo mein fights and death threats to create beautiful, beautiful music. (Or, possibly, if you are a curmudgeon who hates hearing music that is not coming from your own personal earbuds while in transit, it is an awful racket that is really irritating, and did you ask for a performance with your commute?) Anyways, this is sweet, right? People are smiling and looking at each other! On the subway! Take it to the bridge!

The YouTube poster writes,

okay- what you are about to watch is a true new york experience. what originally started out as a typical nyc subway ride (sitting across from guy who smelled like urine) turned into an awesome performance by two people who have never met before. i captured the whole thing on video.

the singer continued with another great song after the entire subway car demanded an encore. her name is jessica latshaw- make sure to check out her music.

On Jessica's site, she explains further, "this is a bit of serendipity that happened on the subway, coming home from capoeira, yoga, and grocery shopping. It just proves that some pretty good moments lay buried among the mundane all the time. We just got to be open to them, is the thing."

Tread softly and carry a small ukele to make the most of said moments.
