Anonymous vs Scientology: Chanology's Quadrennium in NYC

We got a little confused by the International Dateline and what not -- hey, you try converting Sydney time to New York and see if it doesn't leave you dizzy -- so that big story we were promising today won't be here for another 18 hours or so. In the meantime, we have this short video we pieced together from Saturday night's "raid" of the Scientology org on 46th Street near Times Square.

Four years after Anonymous launched Project Chanology and showed up outside Scientology orgs around the world, the local lunatics are still at it.

A note about that Guy Fawkes mask in the first segment -- there's a reason the other anons seem surprised to see it. Unlike other cities, where crowds of protesters in the masks became the iconic look of the movement, in New York an antiquated law prevents protesters in this city from covering their faces. So from the beginning, the raiders here were taking more of a chance, especially in early days when Scientology was more actively trying to identify individual activists and serve them with cease and desist letters (or worse).

Today, Scientology's response is less litigious, if just as predictable -- every month, a Budget rental truck manages to be parked right in front of the building the same afternoon that protesters arrive.

A rental truck, however, really can't protect the org from the continuing influence of the Internet. Four years after Chanology started, it may have lost numbers and some momentum, but there's no question that the movement entirely changed the nature of Scientology watching, and contributed, along with several other factors, to the crisis the church finds itself in today.

The International Date Line (IDL) is an imaginary line on the surface of the Earth, that runs from the north to the south pole and that demarcates one calendar day from the next. It passes through the middle of the Pacific Ocean, its path roughly following the 180° longitude. However, it deviates to pass around some territories and island groups.

Oh how I wish the internet had been around in 1970 and i had knowh the story of abuse and family breakup thnat was happening as i joined - or the raided houses and confiscated properties. Oh sorry that's right it only started with David miscavage. He did not study LRH policy to learn how to do it like being beached or whatever. fair game has now been cancelled except if you are an SP - and there is no disconnection but individuals might prefer not to speak to you - see it was only under david midcavage - in 1973 he must have been ordering execs at my org to hound me to have an (illegal at the time) abortion, and then when i refused sending a minder to try to make me have it at her place. yep - only time interbenes between the incidents, oh but the recent ones are important not those old ones?

Also, it's amusing to see 'Marcotai' posting here. This is what his YouTube channel has to say about Anonymous:"What and who is Anonymous?79% of them are drugs abusers, pedophiles and homosexuals. 92% of them didn't read a single SCN book!"Some remarkable statistics there.

OTVIIIisGrrr8!
OTVIIIisGrrr8!

We in RTC have stated many times that Anonymous is a terrorist group and no one listens to our dire warnings. Now we know what those brave souls in Germany in 1932 warning people about Hitler felt like. No one listened to them either. Hitler annexed Australia, shot Archduke Frank Fernandez, and thus began the Crimean War that devastated Japan and France.

As for Tony Ortega! His brain is so fried from sniffing glue that he cannot even figure out the time in Australia! All he needed to do was to call our Ideal Org in Sydney and they would have given him the local time. Tony could have also donated $17,500 for the "Telling Time Clearing Course" which gives the exact technology on how to tell time in digital or analog format in any time zone in the world.

Look, you either know what time it is or you don't. If you don't know what time it is then learn. Get onboard with the rest of us who know how to tell time. Don't be a spectator. A Scientologist has the ability to tell time... and to help others to learn how to tell time. Being a Scientologist  when you walk past someone who doesn't know what time it is, it's not like anyone else... it's you walk past, you know you have to do something about it because... you know you're the only one that can really help. So you tell them them what time it is and then show them how clocks work, how... a wristwatch works and what it is and how to clean and maintain a wristwatch. So you give them a reality on clocks and wristwatches and then they are able... able to tell time. You have made them more able because they now know what time it is and this is a breakthrough that raises them on the tone scale. Suddenly, they don't... they don't miss appointments... they get to work on time. Life works for them... life doesn't work for Tony Ortega because he is in a self-indicting fog of not-knowingness and mystery about time. This is one of the 22 characteristics of an SP. On another matter, yes we in RTC do park a rental truck when Anonymous protests. We have hidden cameras in the truck just like we did in the fake ice truck we used in L.A. So what? You "raid" us and we will film you and start a dossier on you. We even get your trash in order to get your DNA and then we send your DNA signature to the OSA Terrorist Database. When Scientology takes over the planet we know who you are, we have your DNA, and that is all we need to convict you and send you to work at one of our 557,301 Ideal Orgs as a religious prisoner.

For six decades scientologists cheerfully and defiantly waved imaginary swords in imaginary wars with pretend opponents. Sometimes you got to be pirates, or Star War characters, or 007 spies, but always, always Sheen-winning victories battle after battle. Sideline cheerleaders and Daddy Warbucks were ever present, sometimes by Order of the Commanders, sometimes for the get-out-of-ethics-free game tokens.

Then one day, a bunch of Real People showed up! And they had weapons of mass chalk, and signs, and caek. And they had all kinds of sneaky, scary maneuvers, like singing and dancing! So what else was there to do but hide behind the curtains, and call the police, and lawyers, and private investigators.

Because when something needs to get done in the Real World, scientologists always have to rely on outsourcing help by Real Professionals, who have Real Tech to get the job done, for Real. And then they jump back into their make believe Safe rooms, jump under the covers, with a flashlight, studying how to shatter the monsters under their bed, on their internetz, and across the street. Oh my

I will never forget that wonderful day four years ago when Project Chanology Anonymous had their first big worldwide raid. I was proud to stand with Anonymous that day and here is a link to a posting I made the next day about it:  http://tinyurl.Kom/4yjo9g (change the "Kom" to "com"). And I have been proud every day of the many I protested with Anonymous since that day. I knew that day that the lies and abuses within organized scientology would be exposed. Anonymous gave wings to the voices of many ex scientologists and other victims who had previously been either shuddered into silence or were afraid to speak out. Many even donned the mask and found their voices. Within Anonymous they found the strength in numbers, a comradery and support in many ways. Scientology implodes while Anonymous, including many EXes, dances. Thank you to all who have been a part of this. Truth is being told in countless ways around the world. Organized scientology who can only expand in the darkness of lies and deception now is dying in the light of truth. For the LULZ and for great justice!! A powerful combination uniting the moralfags and lulzfags of the world:)

The arrival of Anonymous was a game changer. Those of us who had experienced the dark, abusive world inside Scientology felt less alone, and it encouraged a lot of us to start speaking out and exposing the crimes, abuse and violence. I was impressed with the Anonymous people I met - all ages, all professions. Of course the Church tries to characterize them as "druggies," "hippies," "terrorists" and so on - it's what authoritarian regimes do every time when confronted with public outcry.

It was the "Message to $cientology" video that made me take a closer look at what this Cult of $cientology was up to? After following link after link, horror story after horror story, I was shocked they were able to get away with blatant violations of human rights, violations of freedom of speech, falsely accusing critics of being child-molestors, drug addicts, perverts, or pimps, which they are now accusing Tony Ortega of, all in an effort to silence the voice of those who oppose them.

Salvation need not come at such a high price!

So, do we owe Anonymous gratitude, hell yeah we do! They have exposed this so-called religion, they have let the world know how invasive and evil this organization is on the human psyche and to mankind as a whole.

What I love about Anonymous is the idea that anyone of us can be Anonymous. $cientology began to fail the moment Anonymous/Chanology arrived on the scene because you can't stop an idea. They are exactly what their name suggests: Anonymous. They are anyone and everyone.

$cientology you lose, because you'll never know if the next "meat body" that walks into your org...is not Anonymous?

My wife Amy Scobee and I were out of the Sea Org for a few years and hadn't publicly said anything, despite our families being broken up with disconnection.  When we saw 5,000 Anons protest in cities around the world it really had an effect on us.  Here were non-Scientologists who were making the effort and finding the courage to stand up to the "churches" bullshit.  We felt a responsibility to do the same.

This led to Amy speaking out in the St. Petersburg Times article "The Truth Rundown" and thenwriting her book called "Scientology, Abuse At The Top".

IMHO, Anonymous pulled the plug on Scientology's sewage tank of crimes and abuse.

In "The Factors" LRH says that "admiration is the most valuable particle of all". Also, as I recall in the axioms it is mentioned that the absence of admiration allows persistence.

In other words, if you want to cease to be bothered, admire what is bothering you.

In Scientology parlance, "not-is-ness" is to say something is not there, that is. It's a using of force to counter force or an unwanted thing.

The idea behind all the auditing is that, if you admire aspects of what is bothering you, it will stop bothering you.

This is also part of the idea behind the HCOB/PL, "You Can Be Right" (google it for reading pleasure).

Technically (not per their administration "philosophy", but per their technical philosophy) the perfect handling by Scientologists of the antagonism that they have created would be directed in an effort to admire and understand their antagonists and also what the Church it self had done to bring about the antagonism.

Much of the auditing technology is predicated on the idea of personal responsibility.

Administratively though, the philosophy turns bitter and toxic. The idea of not-isness and force to overwhelm and destroy comes into play. Hatred and undermining and ridicule become the tools that the organization uses.

And, instead of ever taking responsibility, the organization simply blames and attacks and never regards anyone in the outside world with respect or admiration. It's rabid and will ceaselessly attack.

That's what gets a lot of Scientology Indies and Churchies confused. Hubbard preached two disparate and diametrically opposed philosophies.

One was to love, respect and admire. This is, in essence, the  Auditor's Code.

The other was to view with disdain and use force to overwhelm any real or imagined enemy. This is part and parcel to much of the ethics and justice "codes".

That's why the Scientologists treat these Anon people with contempt. Hubbard taught them to. In violation of his own "Way to Happiness" ("people tend to treat you as you treat them" or words to that effect.)

Scientologist should start treating the Anon guys (and their own ex-parishioners) with some of the love taught in the Auditors Code.  Most of their problems would go away.

Nice collection of photos. The photo of the Chicago protesters is an eye-grabbing composition, an art photo, and says it all. Seayaorg, many of us know full well that the stink permeates every bit of Scientology, and can be traced back directly to its batshit-crazy, drug-addled creator, LRH.  The only people you will find in here who blame it all on Miscavige are the Indies who, in our view, are still culties continuing to allow themselves to be mind-fucked by LRH's toxic creation.

So to respond to your question:  to many of us, the sins of the past are no less important than the sins of today.  The whole shebang needs to be ended.

Thank you for your insight into RTC's selfless contribution to making the trains run on time.

You forgot a couple of key Scientology programs that further refine the ability to tell time.  In fact, there is that rumored series of OT (Omniscient Timekeeper) levels that they're going to release Real Soon Now.  By the time somebody gets up to OT8, they will be able to operate digital stopwatches and synchronization equipment suitable for keeping track of performance at events such as international swim meets and Nascar races.  They'll also be able to bend the flow of time in the space-time continuum backwards, guaranteed! Imagine the power over MEST at poker games that one will have at that point!

On the way to the exalted OT8 level, the public will be able to enjoy such important Time Tech as:

*  TZRD: the "Time Zone Rundown," where the pre-chron (like a pre-clear but for the time-keeper series) is asked to take a dead watch and give it instructions like "reset lap timer" and then carefully acknowledge it afterwards.  You keep doing this until you have a "chronition," an insight about time, kind of like a "cognition" in all those other programs.

*  A 58th Perceptic in Super-Powerz, the sense of rotation.  Acolytes will learn to tell whether they're being spun clockwise or counter-clockwise.  After completing this new perceptic, they'll be given a cheap digital watch that will be resistant to the viscous goo in the oiliness table.

*  A specially modified version of the "running program," where prisoners students will be expected to run laps in a big circle for hours at a time, but will be expected to do each lap in precisely one minute, emulating the second hand of a large grandfather clock.

And graduates of these courses will be able to join Scientology's new front group, "Project Chronology," which goes out and protests against the Project Chanology guys.  The similar sounding name ought to help confuse a few of the less sober recruits and get a few more chunks of fresh meat in the door.

Glad RTC is on the ball, as usual!

Hey there, Larry!  Speaking of justice,  I do believe if not the war, at least one battle has been won and that's with the lovely OSA troopers.  It's been noted here how fewer and fewer OSA handlers pop their pointy heads up these days and even handler jobs getting outsourced.  Slim pickins.

Maybe it's time to tell  OSA they're disbanded, and they can all go home.  I say this with their "product" in mind, their purpose per the Hubbard script:

"The purpose of the Department of Special Affairs is to accomplish total acceptance of Scientology and its Founder throughout the area."

Z-E-R-O chance of that happening at this point, thanks to Anonymous, and Ex's and certain stellar journalists and all concerned.  Z-E-R-O  chance.  So why hang around?

The only busy activity I see is from the Legal Buzzards, hopping up and down in the emergecy exit lanes, pecking at the cold, dead remains.   The few sleepy pod people remaining would probably just go home if someone handed them an order to, well, hah, to just go home,  and signed it ML, DM.  They don't seem to question anything anymore no matter how ludicrous as long as it's signed ML, DM.  So nobody do that, okay!

Hi Larry. Would you consider writing a book about your experience in Scientology? I would be very interested in reading it. Also, I have great respect for you. Not only did you walk away from the organization, but you walked away from the belief system. Ex's like Rathbun and Rinder are still Hubbard adherents and refuse to see him for the liar and con-artist that he was. They are still in the cult as far as I am concerned. I wish them well and hope their efforts to expose corporate Scientology prevails. Hopefully your effort, Anonymous, and all the Ex's will lead to a full investigation by the Federal government. Scientology cannot be reformed from within. All corporate Scientologists are cool-aid drinkers and will not change. Miscavige is like Joseph Stalin and no one will oppose him. Only the might of the Federal government and eyewitness testimony to Miscavige's torture chamber will bring this madness to an end.

A message to Anonymous' detractors (I guess just you here, Migs, at this time): Use the BEST of what Ron had to offer and do away with those aspects that are inhumane and irresponsible.

Don't ridicule, Migs! Respect. You can be right... and so can those who "oppose" you. (Even though all they are opposing is the organization's lack of respect for human rights.)

It's an intentional typo of "cake", playing off of the occasional accidental transposition errors when typing fast to put thoughts to screen.

John P., we in RTC now must sue you for leaking copyrighted confidential upper level Chronition Operating Level One Nine (Colon) material.

Colon material should never be leaked in public.

As for your squirrel idea that people should be allowed anywhere near the "reset lap timer" function without first completing  the Stopwatch Safety Rundown, well, you are just a lunatic. All NASA astronauts and the Cal Tech psychics are sent to Flag to raise their IQ (as measured by the Oxford Capacity Analysis) so they can safely operate stopwatches.

Here is the thing about stopwatches: You are stopping time when you use one. Time stops, and, unless you start time again properly the rotational speed of the planet gets thrown off by a few microseconds. Now that may not seem like a big deal to wogs who do not know how to use a clock or a wristwatch.

But what happens with the unsafe use of stopwatches is that the sum of all stopwatch misuse adds up to minutes a day and then hours. This throws out a thetan's sense of time and so he or she does not know what time it actually is. Soon, complete days are lost. People drink and use drugs because they are lost in time.

Scientology scientists have proven that widespread stopwatch abuse causes hurricanes and tornadoes. For this reason, Scientologists working in the Flag Planetary Time Reset Bureau compensate for widespread stopwatch abuse by postulating the planet back into proper time and orbital velocity each and everyday.

Scientology literally keeps the Earth spinning on its axis thus preventing planetary catastrophe. But do we get thanked or even acked? No. We are rather attacked by the bitter apostates and SP's who want the world to be destroyed.

The only people who attack Scientology are those who want to destroy the world. That is a fact.

Many thanks for the kind words Xenu. My best shot for a book was the one I put together from my earlier writings with the help of a lovely Anon editor some time ago called: "The Miscavige Legal Statements: A Study in Perjury, Lies and Misdirection". An online version of it is free and can be found here:

http://paulsrabbit.Kom/LHBvol1a.pdf  (replace the "Kom" with "com")

That book focuses on the things I knew the most about.

And BTW Jeff Hawkins did my book cover as he did his own, Nancy's and Amy's. He's a real professional.

On general matters of living in scientology and telling the true story on staff I would never be as good a writer as Nancy, Amy, Mark, John, Jeff and others who wrote excellent books. And all of them are "EXes" too.

Thanks again:)

Marcotai =/= Miglio.  Miglio did, to his credit, make a lengthy effort once on this board to explain what value he got out of the "tech" (not that he made it sound attractive to me, but he did try to answer questions).  Marcotai is so loopy it is doubtful he understands much about the "tech" at all.
