Roseanne Barr 2012: Comedienne Wants Green Party Presidential Nomination

ROZBAR.jpg
Roseanne Barr, with promises to fight the patriarchy and legalize pot, wants to be the next commander-in-chief of the U.S., and hopes to do so as the Green Party's candidate, even though she expects to lose.

This isn't the first time that Barr has made clear her presidential plans. She told Jay Leno this in August and tweeted in October that she wanted to run as a third party contender, but is just now being taken more seriously in the press, since she recently filed her Federal Election Commission paperwork, according to the Washington Post.

Roseanne's planning, it seems, started as early as May 2010, when she promised Americans on her blog:

"My Platform is Three fold, and will result in world peace within one year:
STEP ONE: MAKE WAR ILLEGAL, AND LEGALIZE HEMP
allow women to grow it and to make food clothing shelter and fuel from it for pennies. And legalize marijuana too, and let women integrate their divided consciousness with a natural herb instead of doctor's pills which destroy the liver. End the War on drugs. this will take the potheads and non-violent drug users out of prisons, where you can get drugs anyway, thereby making room for the violent offenders and the real criminals--the actual threats to world peace.

STEP TWO: CHANGE THE DEMOGRAPHICS OF GOVERNMENT:
Since women make up 53% of the population, as well as the work force, a MINIMUM of Green Tea Party leadership will be female, and given that one in six Americans lives in poverty, at least one sixth of the party's officials will officially be poor (since generations of rich guys running things has only gotten us here). As Congress people and senators, they will be able to become rich enough to eradicate their own poverty for generations, as well as that of those they represent simply by having access to public policy that decides where public money goes. They will simply direct public money TO THE PUBLIC, a novel idea and something which is not being done at all, ever. A small grant of 1500 dollars can enable a poor woman to start a business that can create wealth and jobs for as many as ten other people within two years.
Poor women know how to get things done well, and on the cheap. They know how to stretch that dollar.

In American, for speaking truth, women are called Bitches. I seek for next Mother's Day, a march of One Million American Bitches who can get the job done--the job of getting the food to the hungry kids in this country and thereby creating real wealth, as well as saving our rich American friends and neighbors from going straight to hell and burning there for all of eternity. This is just one of my righteous spiritual goals and solutions to the real problems in America!

STEP THREE: (MOST IMPORTANT) I WILL OUTLAW BULLSHIT:
After the passage of this one law, the Patriarchy will inevitably begin to crumble, as will the concept of War itself, which is largely a large load of bullshit.

Right now, Barr trails the main Green Party contender, Jill Stein, in polls.

The Post notes that Roseanne has already tweeted that a nomination win is unlikely: "I run in support of The Green Party & probably of Jill Stein--hopefully I can be of service by speaking on media about a viable choice 4 voters."

Unfortunately, Roseanne announced her candidacy too late to appear on the nation's first Green presidential primary, in Arizona on Feb. 28.

Fortunately, I *am* on the ballot in the Arizona Green Party as one of six presidential candidates.

But I am now supporting Roseanne Barr for the Green Party nomination for President. I ask that any votes I get in the February 28 Green Party presidential preference primary be considered votes for Roseanne Barr and be apportioned to her when Arizona delegates to the Green Party convention in Baltimore this summer are apportioned.I am now a “stand-in” candidate for Roseanne Barr.

The use of “stand-in” candidates in American presidential primaries is an old tradition. For example, in 1964, to run in Democratic primaries against Gov. George Wallace of Alabama, President Lyndon Johnson used Wisconsin Gov. John W. Reynolds as his stand-in in the Wisconsin primary, Indiana Gov. Matthew Welsh in the Indiana primary, and Senator Daniel Brewster in the Maryland primary.

I am now being used by Roseanne Barr as her stand-in in the Arizona presidential preference primary on February 28. Votes for me will be transferred to her, so I am more committed than ever to winning this election.
