Andrew Cuomo Cheerleader Fred Dicker Draws Ire Of Albany Occupiers (Again)

Calling him the "mouthpiece for Governor One Percent (Cuomo)," the occupiers stormed the capitol about 9:30 a.m. to bash Dicker and his amigo in New York's executive branch.
"There is no love lost between Dicker and the Occupy movement," Colin Donnaruma, a spokesman for the Occupy Albany movement, tells the Voice.
In a handout distributed at this morning's demonstration, the occupiers say that "while ostensibly a journalist, Dicker has raised eyebrows over the past year for his constant, breathless praise of Cuomo, even as the Governor has broken repeated promises to clean up Albany while pushing an agenda against the interests of working families in the state."
Donnaruma says organizers planned the protest to coincide with Dicker's 10 a.m. radio show, where Cuomo was his guest this morning. Protesters, he says, managed to get up to the third floor of the capitol, where Dicker's studio is, but state police blocked them from being able to see through a window into the room where Dicker was interviewing his BFF.
Dicker definitely heard them, though -- Donnaruma says he got calls from people who were listening to Dicker's show at the time of the protest and told him you could definitely hear the protest going on outside of the studio.
We didn't catch Dicker's show this morning, but Politics on the Hudson reports that he called the group of protesters "rag tag" when he heard the commotion outside of his studio.
Donnaruma says it's time for Dicker to "stop being a mouthpiece" for Cuomo and his corporate masters at News Corps., and start being a journalist.
Dicker didn't immediately respond to our request for comment. We'll let you know if he gets back to us.
