Charles McDowell, Convicted Livery Cabbie Killer, Gets Life
Ndiaye, a native of Senegal, was shot fatally during an attempted robbery by McDowell and an accomplice at the corner of Boston Road and Wilson Avenue in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx.
Police caught up to McDowell, a Bronx native known as "Tuffy," just after he and his accomplice had robbed another victim, taking a cellphone, wallet and bracelet outside 660 East 242nd St. on August 31, 2009. He had jumped into a seperate livery cab. When he was arrested, McDowell had a .25 caliber handgun that matched the weapon used in the Ndiaye killing.
