You probably didn't win the $640 million Mega Millions jackpot -- the chance of winning was 1 in 176 million -- but the money will be divided up by at least three people. Lottery officials said winning tickets were sold in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland. In New York, 17 people will get a second-prize of $250,000 each. And the lucky numbers? Those were 02-04-23-38-46 with a Mega Ball of 23. People around the country collectively spent about $1.5 billion for a chance to get their hands on the winnings. [CBS New York, NYDN]

Keith Olbermann was fired from Current TV, the channel announced Friday. According to the New York Times, in a termination letter "Current cited 'unauthorized absences' as one of the reasons. It also cited a failure to promote the channel and disparagement of the channel's executives." Former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer will be taking over for Olbermann. [NYT]

New York's State Legislature passed a $132.6 billion spending plan Friday. Of the budget, Governor Andrew Cuomo said: "It truly is an example of fiscal discipline and fiscal integrity. Spending actually goes down from last year overall and the state spending level is within the 2 percent." The budget process was, according to Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver in the New York Times, "a breath of fresh air to all of us." [NYT, NY1]

A bridge painter -- who was "either changing or adjusting his harness" -- fell from the Throgs Neck Bridge Friday morning. John Massas, 35, is presumed dead. Though a safety boat is supposed to watch the area in case of such occurrences, workers said it was not doing so. [NYP]

A 20-year-old woman who fell to her death from a 14-story balcony in the Bronx was being chased. Sienna Edwards attempted to jump to another balcony when she fell. The woman chasing Edwards, Kenya Edmonds, was arrested. Edmonds was charged with murder and manslaughter.
