The New York City Police Department has identified a suspect in the death of a man hit by a train following a scuffle at a Brooklyn subway station Friday night.

The NYPD now says Ryan Beauchamp, 33, is considered a suspect in the case, and is currently wanted for questioning.

About 10 p.m. Friday, NYPD officers responded to a call that a man had been hit by a train at the Bedford Avenue subway station.

The responding officers determined that the victim, 20-year-old Joshua Basin, was arguing with the unidentified suspect while the two were riding on the "L" train.

When the two men exited the train, the suspect started a physical fight with Basin that resulted with both men falling onto the tracks. The suspect managed to get off the tracks and flee on foot. Basin wasn't so lucky -- he was hit by a Northbound train.

Basin was brought to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to the New York State Department of Corrections' website, Beauchamp's never done time in a state correctional facility. However, an NYPD spokesperson tells the Voice that he has one prior arrest for violation of park rules (he was in Central Park after it closed).

In any event, if you've seen Mr. Beauchamp, call the cops (800-577-TIPS) -- they're looking for him.
