There currently are three -- possibly four -- serial gropers plaguing New York City right now.
Just when you thought "there couldn't possibly be another groper roaming the streets of New York," there's another groper roaming the streets of New York, which puts the total number of gropers operating in New York City right now at three, possibly four.

The latest groper struck in Queens about 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Police say he felt up an 11-year-old girl as she was walking in the area of 76th Avenue and 160th Street in Hillcrest.

This groper is described as being between 21 and 25 years old, about 5-foot-9 and 135 pounds. The victim told police he has spiked hair.

On Tuesday, we told you about a serial groper who's been feeling up women in Manhattan since February. His latest attack was March 30, when police say he felt up an unsuspecting woman in lower Manhattan and then scampered off. The same man, police suspect, groped three other women on February 25, 26, and 27. He's described as in his 30s, about 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds -- and he's currently on the loose.

Oh, but we're not done...

On Monday, we told you about another serial groper, this one also is in Queens.

This groper's latest attack happened about 5:45 a.m. Sunday as the 30-year-old victim was walking to her Sunnyside Gardens home from the 7 train.

The victim told police the man grabbed her from behind and felt her up. During the groping, the suspect also punched her.

In March, a suspect with a physical description similar to the man who committed Sunday's groping felt up at least four women in Jackson Heights. In August, there was another series of gropings, also in Jackson Heights. Authorities, however, won't say whether the latest groping is related to the past cases, but the description of the suspect is similar -- he's between the ages of 17 and 25 and is about 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-8.

Anyone with information about any of New York's serial gropers is asked to call the New York City Police Department at 800-577-TIPPS.

I've been surprised by Running Scared's repeated insistence that multiple gropers are unlikely.  I'm sure the female readership would tell you that inappropriate touching on the street and subway happens to a lot of people, and thus what we are seeing is likely a spike in reportings and publicity, not some freak epidemic.
