New York Totally Prefers Hillary Clinton To Andrew Cuomo: Poll
New Yorkers heart Hil a lot more than their gov -- so much that they would pick her over Andrew Cuomo 60-25 percent in a presidential primary.
In a new poll commissioned by the New York Daily News, 400 city Dems said that they would pick Clinton, who beat Barack Obama by 17 points in the state's 2008 primary. Fifteen percent of voters are undecided.
The stats come just as discussions have surfaced in the Democratic party about a potential Clinton-Cuomo face-off.
Pollsters have clarified that New Yorkers still like Cuomo, but that Clinton just happens to be way more popular.
"She's represented New York for two terms in the U.S. Senate, has been a presidential candidate, is the secretary of state and her husband was President of the United States," researcher Doug Schoen told the paper. "I think that explains everything you need to know."
