Fifth-Grader to Teacher: "Oh, Sorry. I Was Busy Hangin' Out With the President."

This beats "My dog ate my homework" by a long shot.
11-year-old Tyler Sullivan wanted to see President Obama speak in Honeywell, Minnesota, and he didn't really care if anything stopped him. Especially school.

After sitting front row and shaking the commander-in-chief's hand, Sullivan needed something to show to his teacher that he was absent with good reason. So what better way to justify hooky than an excused letter from Obama himself? It's like an executive order from the world of Ferris Bueller.

The letter reads, "Mr. Ackerman - Please excuse Tyler... he was with me!" The Presidential signature is below it with the White House insignia as a hefty reminder that the executive does have privileges.

We're assuming that the teacher was speechless. And that the kid is now the most popular 11-year-old in his entire school district.

President Obama was in Honeywell, Minnesota as a part of his campaign trail when Sullivan approached him and received the best get-out-of-jail-free card ever. The town was being commended for its focus on hiring returning soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan for full-time positions.

But this isn't the fire time the United States' head honcho used his bully pulpit to get a kid off the hook. In 2009, Kennedy Corpus was penned a similar letter when she missed her last day of fourth grade to see the President in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The excuse read almost identical to that of Sullivan's: "To Kennedy's teacher - Please excuse Kennedy's absence. She's with me." Same signature, same boss insignia.

The Voice will keep in mind for the future that, if Obama is ever in town and we don't feel like going to work that day, he will be more than willing to get us out of trouble. Now, the question is: what would Romney write?
