Scott Stringer, Mayoral Hopeful, Gets Burgled, Campaign Computers Stolen

Mayoral hopeful Scott Stringer's campaign office was burglarized over the weekend, and a number of laptops containing donor information were stolen, but no cash, police sources said.

Audrey Gelman, a spokeswoman for the Manhattan Borough President, confirmed that a burglary had taken place, but declined to answer other questions.

A police source tells the Voice that cash in the office was not taken, just the computers. Hmmm. Watergate it's not, but sounds like a little political intrigue. Or maybe the burglars just missed the cash box.
