| Jepsen Island in the Long Island Sound is up for sale. |
Two private islands in the Long Island Sound are up for grabs after the widow of a "party goods magnate" -- who "collects" islands -- has put them up for sale.
Christine Svenningsen bought 10 of the Thimble Islands, off the coast of Branford, Connecticut, for more than $30 million. She has now decided to part with two pieces of her collection.
For the bargain price of $2 million, the Jepsen Island comes complete with a little more than a quarter-of-an-acre of land and an 1,100-square-foot house with a wraparound deck. The other Island, Belden Island, is just over an acre and has a 2,100-square-foot Colonial home. It also has clam beds. That Island is going for $4 million.

| For a mere $4 million, Belden Island could be yours. |
Svenningsen and her husband bought a few of the islands in the 1970s -- but here's where things get pretty douchey...
After the death of her husband in 1997, Svenningsen started buying even more islands -- she was "collecting" them -- until she ultimately owned 10.
"They're like little pieces of art. I get to put my brush to them," Svenningsen said in 2006.
It's rumored that she then said "but daddy, I want an oompa-loompa now!" but we were unable to independently confirm those rumors.
