The Village Voice Welcomes Scott Foundas, Our New Chief Film Critic
Between the end of the world, and the end of the campaign, and the end of Lucasfilm, this has been the news week to end all news weeks. (And Newsweek!) But here at the Voice we're happy to report on one choice bit of unabashed good news: that Scott Foundas will be joining us as our new chief film critic, starting on December 3.

A former critic and editor at our sister paper LA Weekly, Foundas has spent the last three years as the associate program director at the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
During that time, he has managed to squeeze in exemplary work for the Voice and LA Weekly: Our cover-story interview with Paul Thomas Anderson regarding The Master, and this killer piece examining Paramount Pictures in the 1970s, the high-water mark for the then New Hollywood.
Foundas tells us, "I'm thrilled to be returning to the world of weekly film criticism, and doubly excited to be doing it as part of a team that includes so many writers I deeply respect and admire, including Karina Longworth, Melissa Anderson, and Nick Pinkerton."
We're thrilled, too. Look for his reviews and articles starting this December.
