The Manhattan Madam Appeared in Court, Promised to Plead Not Guilty If She's Indicted
An update on the Kristin Davis arrest: Davis, the erstwhile(?) Manhattan Madam, was arraigned Tuesday afternoon on the charges of selling drugs, oxycodone, Adderall, and Ambien among them. She was released on a $100,000 bond.
Davis's attorney insists that his client was innocent, accusing the Department of Justice of headline-grabbing.
"Today, Ms. Davis was accused in a hearsay complaint based upon the unsworn statements of an admitted drug dealer seeking leniency at the expense of a high-profile target," Hochheiser told NY1. "If and when Ms. Davis is indicted, which she hasn't been yet, she'll enter a not guilty plea."
Still no word on whether Davis has plans to discontinue her bid for comptroller. There's a punchline in here somewhere. I think it's us.
