Money Warz Anti-TPP Performance, Times Square, 2 p.m.
Money Warz, a guerrilla theater group, will unveil a 15-foot-tall toilet paper TPP "Death Star", which will be "stolen" by members of The Open Alliance--the good guys, apparently--and taken to Wall Street in a pedicab. Yeah, Runnin' Scared doesn't get it either (A call to Money Warz went the voicemail of the "Didactic Emperor.") Maybe their Kickstarter video will help clear a few things up:
Rally to Support the Robin Hood Tax, United Nations - Dag Hammerskjold Plaza, 47th St. & 2nd Ave., 5 p.m.
Meet out in front of the U.N. for a rally to pass the Robin Hood Tax, a .5-percent tax hike on all Wall Street transactions. The billions raised annually would go to improve public schools, bail out local governments, and tamp down health care costs by keeping more hospitals open. The rally will also feature a performance from Sweet Honey in the Rock.
