We've got your Friday news dump, and it's a doozy: thousands of pages of documents subpoenaed by the New Jersey Legislature in connection with their investigation of the scandal we've come to know as "Bridgegate."

The treasure trove includes emails, letters, and traffic schematics from various Port Authority officials subpoenaed by the Transportation, Public Works and Independent Authorities Committee, including 908 pages and 603 pages, respectively, from Christie appointees David Wildstein and Bill Baroni, both of whom stepped down in December.

Below that, you'll find the transcript from Thursday's hearing as well.

The title of the dynamite Hedges column on Christie is titled 'The Trouble with Chris Christie' by Chris Hedges.  Read it and distribute to everyone you know.

Chris Hedges has a very recent piece on Christie that's a must-read.  Be sure to drum up Hedges' recent Christie column pronto.  It's the best piece of journalism of 2014 thus far.

It looks like Christie is a 'double-high authoritarian' just like our governor here in Wisconsin, Scott Walker.  John Dean (yes, that John Dean) wrote a spectacular column a few years ago describing Scott Walker as a double-high authoritarian, it looks like New Jersey also has one of these fascist types.

Folks really need to read the Hedges piece, if time, drum up the John Dean piece on Scott Walker too.

Even if Christie is telling the truth and even if all the wrongdoers in this story are thoroughly punished, we still have serious concerns:

¶ The GW Bridge is the primary commercial access to NYC and would probably also be the primary evacuation route out of NYC, yet it took many hours for the Port Authority and other officials to learn of the traffic jam, and it took 4 days to cure it.

¶  This means that a terrorist attack on the GWB would probably paralyze NYC, and if combined with a terrorist act in Manhattan, could cripple the entire region and lead to many thousands of deaths.  And the good guys seem incapable of any quick remedies.

Isn't it amazing that the press is making such a big deal of a NJ governor and a traffic jam and yet gave a complete pass to:

Eric holder and Obama re: "Fast and Furious"

Hillary Clinton and Obama re: Benghazi

Obama's IRS enemy list

Obama and the Justice Dept. spying on reporters

Obama and  the NSA spying on everyone

Obamacare incompetence, illegalities and scandals

No that's ok but thanks for the offer

The 2016 election will be history before anyone can read through all this.

@DonkeyHotay Wow!  That is not being very tolerant for a cry-baby, liberal loon.   Should we, by extension, trust  a regular pig?
