This time yesterday, Police Commissioner William Bratton was filed with boyish excitement over the New York Police Department's annual charity hockey match with the FDNY at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island:

He hasn't sent out a follow-up tweet celebrating the NYPD's 8-5 victory, probably because everyone is busy talking about the enormous, bench-clearing brawl that broke out between the two teams in the second half.

According to the Post, the fight began with "multiple, one-on-one fisticuffs," ending in the enormous group display of great judgment and solid impulse control we see here:

Obviously everyone with a cellphone got shots of the fight, meaning we have multiple angles to consider:

As you can hear in the videos, the crowd added to the boisterous good cheer of the occasion with chants of "PD sucks!" and "Dunkin' Donuts!" The Post reports that the fight led to a 25-minute delay before the police department's eventual victory.

A Fire Department spokeswoman declined to comment on the fight. The NYPD hasn't yet responded to our requests for comment about the incident. Nor will they.
