Video: Witness a New York Manhattanhenge (and Moonhattanhenge!)

Manhattanhenge: "It's one of the few times in New York City where you see people being friendly to each other," says Jackie Faherty, an astronomer at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

Those who've seen it will tell you Manhattanhenge is one of the best New York experiences. It's a gorgeous sunset through the buildings aligned perfectly with Manhattan's streets. Plus it's time for New Yorkers to spend together. It happens every year in May and July. We spent July 11 and 12 with New Yorkers on 42nd Street in May and on 79th Street on July 11th -- when there was a bonus Moonhattanhenge! Faherty coined the term and explains that if the moon is full on a Manhattanhenge day, it will also align with the city grid and create a doubly beautiful effect. Next year Manhattanhenge sunsets will happen again in late May and early mid-July.

Doesn't take much for New Yorkers to get excited. How bout venushenge or jpiterhenge I'm sure you could figure out a way to make them line up with something
