The suspect has not succeeded each time. Twice, he left the bank with no money. But in the five other tries, he stole a total of $34,000.

He has targeted bank across the borough. He shows a note to the teller and usually holds a phone to his ear. Twice, he flashed a gun.

The first robbery, at Amalgamated Bank, was on July 17, 2012, and the suspect made off with $1,480, according to the Queens Chronicle, which first reported the spree. A month later, at a Middle Village Chase on August 10, he gave the teller a note demanding money, but left empty handed.

Then came his most successful stretch. On August 20, the suspect stole $8,680 from an HSBC in Long Island City. On October 13, he stole $8,783 from a Long Island City Chase. And on December 12, he stole $12,400 from a Chase in East Elmhurst.

The average take in a bank robbery is around $4,000. This man topped that in three straight heists. He took home around $30,000 in that five moths stretch, and, according to police, he took a break from robbing banks after that.

He popped back up on the NYPD radar this summer. On June 7, he stole $3,098 from the last bank he had robbed. And then last week, on July 22, he entered a Santander Bank in Jackson Heights and gave the teller a note demanding money. He got none and fled.

The man suspected in these seven incidents is around six-feet tall and 200 lbs and in his early-to-mid 30s, according to the Chronicle.
