Pardon Us, Mr. President

The notion that the Bush administration has accomplished nothing in its almost five years in office is totally without merit, as proven by yesterday's White House event in which the president pardoned two turkeys from the Thanksgiving dinner table. The president has now been able to pardon eight turkeys:

Marshmallow

Yam

Biscuits

Gravy

Stars

Katie

Liberty

Freedom

Back when he was Texas governor, the president wasn't in such a pardoning mood. Hence, also missing from the Thanksgiving table this year are:

Daniel Hittle

Garry Miller

the president is a cold-hearted murderous thug. how many of these people are innocent like the tens of thousands of iraqis, not to mention proud america service people killed and maimed in the name of greed

lougiglio says:

It has always befuddled me how a person can claim to be a compasionate conservative and a devout Christian, yet sit by while more people were executed under his watch as governor than any other person who held that role in all the states since the country was founded!

I guess he was assured by that legal sage, who now occupies the post of Attorney General and who found ways to "legalize" torture, that all those "killers" deserved to die.

If only George were a tad bit curious, I'm sure that he could have found proof that some of the more than 160 people who were executed were probably innocent.

VORIC 13 says:

What the author of this article has ignored is that every single one of those executed were convicted murderers. They were tried and a jury of their peers found them guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of the crimes they were accused of.

If the author had done his research properly, he would've realized Mario Marquez ,Jesse Jacobs, Raymond Kinnamon, Herman Clark, Jr., Warren Bridge, Walter Williams, George Lott, Jessie Gutierrez, Robert Drew, Denton Crank, Stephen Nethery, Paul Rougeau, Larry Anderson, Richard Beavers, Freddie Webb, and Harold Barnard were all executed before George W. Bush was sworn in as governor of Texas. In fact, the last eleven names on the list were executed before he was even elected. Took a lot of googling to learn that.

The author wants me to be upset because these convicted murderers were missing from the Thanksgiving table this year? I've got another list of people for him who won't be home for the holidays. These murderer's victims: Allen Hilzendager, Gerald Walker, Mary Goss, Richard Cook Jr., Raymond Gregg, Christy Condon, April Marie Wilson, Carenthia Marie Bailey, Dennis Price, Angela Tyson, Karen Koslow, Stephanie Rae Flanary, Gwendolyn Caldwell, Henry Porter Caldwell Jr., Kimberly Caldwell, Marietta Bryant, Carol Ackland, Tammy Livingston, Mary Francis Davis, Kelly Donovan, James Louis Boots, Lillian Wallace Boots, Allen Bolden, Carol Lynette Huckabee, Eva Marie DeForest, Michael John Phelan, Theresa Fraga, Frank Fraga, Son Trang Nyugen, Bobby Lambert, Pauline Crownover Farris, Jesse Contreras, Marsha Brock, Sybil Mares Dennis, Bobbie Davis, Nicole Davis, Lea Erin Davis, Brittany Davis, Jason Davis, Denitra Davis, Lori Barrett, Gary Cox, Gerald Abay, Christian Fisher, James Holzer, Patricia Webb, Rosalind Robison, Elizabeth Jones, Chung Myong Yi, Helen Bass, Jimmy Don Beets, Carl Leevy, Clinton Abbott, John Cravey, Leta Wilkerson, Mark Frederick, Ricky Lee Bryant, Earline Barker, Bruce Gardner, Scott Willard Reed, Georgia Reed, Ocolor Hegger, Cecile Ham, Rena Rogers, Jacy Rogers, James Hanks, Thomas Carlson, Gene Hathorn Sr., Linda Sue Hathorn, Marcus Hathorn, Donna Sue Jester, Dalpha Lorene Jester, Laura Lee Owens, Dorothy McNew, Jerry Chafin, Sylvester Walton, Wonda Matthews, Suda Eller Jones, Gena Turner, Bryan Boone, Suzanne Harrison, Melvin Drum, Karen Birky, Mr. Lang, Helen Greb, Su Van Dang, Blanche Miller, Kandy Kirtland, Madeline Peters, Mary Mulligan, Carl J. what really bothers me is the C.I.A. they are as corrupt as they come and they try to go after our president! Why don't they go after the real culprits that are keeping free energy from the people that pay their salaries, yes, there is a formula for free energy. check that out. they are so secret they are about 6 levels down below the prez. even cliton could not get anything done about these secret people. the book "Disclosure" tells all.

Dee says:

You want to bash the Government for the death penalty well news flash people if people like Walter Key Williams and Theodore Edwards didn't go out killing people they wouldn't have been on death row or life in prison.. and trust you want to bash the government for something do it for life in prison.. Texas life in prison 25 years.. whats that most people live longer then that if they don't have sick minded killers out on the streets trying to get their jollys. Williams stated big deal i serve 7 to 10 and be able to get out and do the same thing again. Thank god he was wrong all though he did get to live 13 years longer then the victim's life whom he cut short. So think of it this way what if it were your Mother, Sister, Brother, father or child that was killed by one of these so called poor people that are in jail on death row because they killed someone and cant be at the dinner table tonight. I have no pity for them. I know for fact Williams and Edwards killed not just one person but two people in less then a 24 hour period I think they both should have gotten the death sentence but Edwards plea bargained another downfall of our government. So if he behaved himself and did what he was suppose to in jail edwards is out walking the streets today what about my brother who died while working an honest job at the age of 19 and 4 months.
