Rudy's Pathetic New 9/11 Campaign Ad

Posted by Michael Clancy at 2:37 PM, January 18, 2008

"When the world wavered, and history hesitated, Rudy never did."

That's what a narrator says in a voice-over in Rudy's latest campaign ad. The ad, running in Florida, is his first to use actual 9/11 video footage. Let's not even parse the meaning of "history hesitated" but the "world wavered"? Isn't that a tad bit insulting to the people who died that day? First responders and ordinary citizens who acted bravely in the face of horror?

For a little perspective, there's always Rudy's Five Big Lies About 9/11

What 5 big lies? That ad expresses my sentiments exactly about the person hopeful President Giuliani was and is...all's fair in love and war. Campaigning for the presidency is a war of words and if he chooses to be edgy in his ads I support it wholeheartedly.

Come out of your cave Agnes! This guy is so full of himself. What the hell did he do besides make sure the cameras were rolling while he marched through lower Manhattan during the dust storm? He made a pact with the devil when he and Dubbleya shook hands on the rubble remains of the WTC. And that wife of his, puh-lease...

Typical broads...battling over nothing. If Rudy's ads got these two bozos to think about him...it's working already.
