Bowled Over By Barack Obama and Hillary as Rocky

As the baseball season is off to a crazy start: rained-out Opening Days that require a do-over (Yankees), a star pitcher returning to the mound only to be injured again (the Mets and Pedro Martinez), another season seems to be all-but-ignored around here: election season. As I've previously noted, the election news cycle right now is somewhat dead: we have our presumptive Republican nominee in John McCain, but the Democratic slugfest is still chugging along. With the next major primary three weeks away, we're getting some bottom-of-the-barrel, "what the hell do we cover?" stories on the candidates, as the horse race is meekly trotting along at this point.

Clinton's "sniper fire" controversy is pretty much exhausted, so what do we have to parse apart now? How about Barack Obama's bowling average? Obama appeared at a Pennsylvania bowling alley over the weekend and scored a miserable 37/300. How bad is that? Well, I'll put it this way: my cat could probably do a better job if I stuck a Wii remote around his neck, turned on the bowling game and let him walk around the house.

The Daily News decides to have a little fun with Obama's lack of skills by interviewing a 10-year-old New Jersey girl who scored a 47 while bowling at Chelsea Piers. Little Gabriella Lamas offers Obama such smart tips as "You have to look at the pins when you throw it." Get this girl a cabinet a position!

The News also reports that the Hillary Clinton campaign's April Fools joke was to challenge Obama to a bowl off, a la Kingpin. We can only pray that one of the late-night variety shows can make this happen. Although the funniest part of the article may be Gabriella's mom, Hilda, lamenting the lack of enthusiasm for bowling these days, when she calls bowling a "nice, pure sport." Has she ever been to league night?

Kingpin isn't the only sports movie being referenced by Democratic candidates. Clinton compared herself to Rocky Balboa while stumping at an AFL-CIO meeting in the fictional boxer's hometown of Philly. The Post has a field day with this, featuring a photoshopped illustration of Clinton as a boxer. The "tale of the tape" compares Clinton to Rocky on such categories as "embarrassing relative" (Rocky: Paulie, Hillary: Bill) and "number of sequels" (Rocky: Five, Hillary: "Trying for third--first lady, senator and now president").

Carlie Stearn says:

Obama’s Economic Plan

In fact, what is far more worrisome than the Trinity Church "commitment to Africa" is Obama’s call for "economic parity."

Economic equality is the justification for an exploding welfare and entitlement state.

Economic parity implies government-coerced wealth redistribution, perpetual minimum wage increases; government subsidized health care for all and so on. Essentially this translates to socialize wages.

CNBC economic analyst Larry Kudlow estimates that Obama's vision for government-run everything will cost Americans $800 BILLION.

Obama was described in a 2004 Men’s News Daily Report during Obama's 2004 US Senate campaign:

Obama’s closest religious advisers and bible/political teacher -- Fr. (Michael) Pfleger, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, and Illinois State Sen. James Meeks, who moonlights as the pastor of Chicago's Salem Baptist Church – may have quotes from Scripture always handy, but are theologically closer to Karl Marx and black nationalism, than to Christianity.

Don't worry Carlie, if Obama gets us out of Iraq, he will save American's 3 TRILLION. That means you can get almost FOUR Obama governments for ONE Bush administration -- or ONE McCain.

dee says:

OK, let's make a deal. Let's take the three trillion dollars we are going to spend on Iraq war use 800 billion of that for government run everything and still have 2.2 trillion left. Oops...I guess we can do that unless we have "a way back machine".

YOU MIGHT BE AN IDIOT:-)

If you think Barack Obama with little or no experience would be better than Hillary Clinton with 35 years experience.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with little or no education experience is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) made higher education affordable for every American. And created higher job demand and starting salary's than they had ever been before or since.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)

Best regards

jacksmith says:

DON'T BE DUPED !!!

Large numbers of Republicans have been voting for Barack Obama in the DEMOCRATIC primaries, and caucuses from early on. Because they feel he would be a weaker opponent against John McCain. And because they feel that a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket would be unbeatable. And also because with a Clinton and Obama ticket you are almost 100% certain to get quality, affordable universal health care very soon.

But first, all of you have to make certain that Hillary Clinton takes the democratic nomination and then the Whitehouse. NOW! is the time. THIS! is the moment you have all been working, and waiting for. You can do this America. “Carpe diem” (harvest the day).

I think Hillary Clinton see’s a beautiful world of plenty for all. She is a woman, and a mother. And it’s time America. Do this for your-selves, and your children’s future. You will have to work together on this and be aggressive, relentless, and creative. Americans face an even worse catastrophe ahead than the one you are living through now.

You see, the medical and insurance industry mostly support the republicans with the money they ripped off from you. And they don’t want you to have quality, affordable universal health care. They want to be able to continue to rip you off, and kill you and your children by continuing to deny you life saving medical care that you have already paid for. So they can continue to make more immoral profits for them-selves.

Hillary Clinton has actually won by much larger margins than the vote totals showed. And lost by much smaller vote margins than the vote totals showed. Her delegate count is actually much higher than it shows. And higher than Obama’s. She also leads in the electoral college numbers that you must win to become President in the November national election. HILLARY CLINTON IS ALREADY THE TRUE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE!

As much as 30% of Obama's primary, and caucus votes are Republicans trying to choose the weakest democratic candidate for McCain to run against. These Republicans have been gaming the caucuses where it is easier to vote cheat. This is why Obama has not been able to win the BIG! states primaries. Even with Republican vote cheating help.

Hillary Clinton has been out manned, out gunned, and out spent 4 and 5 to 1. Yet Obama has only been able to manage a very tenuous, and questionable tie with Hillary Clinton.

If Obama is the democratic nominee for the national election in November he will be slaughtered. Because the Republican vote cheating help will suddenly evaporate. All of this vote fraud and republican manipulation has made Obama falsely look like a much stronger candidate than he really is. YOUNG PEOPLE. DON’T BE DUPED! Think about it. You have the most to lose.

The democratic party needs to fix this outrage. I suggest a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket. Everyone needs to throw all your support to Hillary Clinton NOW! So you can end this outrage against YOU the voter, and against democracy.

I think Barack Obama has a once in a life time chance to make the ultimate historic gesture for unity, and change in America by accepting Hillary Clinton’s offer as running mate. Such an act now would for ever seal Barack Obama’s place at the top of the list of Americas all time great leaders, and unifiers for all of history.

The democratic party, and the super-delegates have a decision to make. Are the democrats, and the democratic party going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee to fight for the American people. Or are the republicans going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee through vote fraud, and gaming the DEMOCRATIC party primaries, and caucuses.

Fortunately the Clinton’s have been able to hold on against this fraudulent outrage with those repeated dramatic comebacks of Hillary Clinton’s. Only the Clinton’s are that resourceful, and strong. Hillary Clinton is your NOMINEE. They are the best I have ever seen.

“This is not a game” (Hillary Clinton)

Sincerely

jacksmith...

Actually, he only bowled six frames. It's still a bad score, but it makes your hyperbole far more inaccurate.

I'd hate to level-headed anaylsis of the simple facts into this "discussion," but here goes: Hillary CAN NOT WIN THE NOMINATION! Not under any circumstances.
My statement isn't based on what I think will happen it's based on what has already happened. Obama's lead is simply inurmountable.
He has a lead of roughly 160pledged delegates and a deficit of 25superdelegates. Even assuming that everything (and I mean EVERTHING) goes Hillary's way, this lead cannot be overcome.

Assume some devastating news comes out about Obama and his current lead in the polls disappear,Consequently people start voting for Hillary en masse.

In PA, where she is currently leading in polls by 3% to15%, she is able to pull out a victory of 15%. In fact, lets make that a complete blowout of Obama. She wins by 20 percent surprising everyone. -- She will net rougly 30-32 delegates.

The same thing happens in Guam and Indiana. She completely blows Obama out and wins 60% to 40% (note that polls currently show she is leading in Indiana by only 5-10 points) -- She will net 15 delegates.

In N.Carolina, Oregon, Montana, and S.Dakota (states where Obama is heavily favored), the unbeilevable happens - Hillary is not only able to overcome his lead but actually squeezes out a 5 point victories in all these states. - She will net 8-10.

In W.Virginia, Kentucky, & Peurto Rico (states where Hillary is favored), lightning strikes for the umpteenth time, she beats Obama by larger than expected margins - I mean MUCH larger than expected - 60% to 40% in all 3 states. - She will net 28 - 30.

With all of this, believe it or not, Hillary is still behind by almost 80 pledged delegates and counting supers she is behind by roughly 50, and that is once again assuming that the supers break even from now on rather that going for Obama as they have in the past 3-4 months (Highly Unlikely)

ITS TIME FOR HILLARY TO GO. SHE CAN NOT WIN!!! THE LONGER SHE STAYS IN THE BETTER THE FOR MCCAIN.

If you think that Bill Clinton's accomplishments are Hillary's as well.

You might be an Idiot!

If you think Hillary has more experience than Obama in political office. Look at the numbers, he's served in the Senate more terms than she has!

You might be an Idiot!

If you overlook the huge amounts of political corruption that went down during the Clinton administration.
