Sean Bell and Anonymous Protesters Join Forces in Midtown

The YouTube video doesn't embed, but as you can some from the above screen grab, the Black Panthers briefly joined forces with Anonymous last Saturday. Only in New York, kids, only in New York.
Causes collided in Times Square this past weekend when Sean Bell protesters glimpsed an Anonymous member’s sign. On it was a quote you’d never find in Bartlett’s, “You shouldn’t be scrubbing the floor on your hands and knees. Get yourself a nigger; that’s what they’re born for.” Allegedly plucked from a letter L. Ron Hubbard sent to his first wife, the placard’s inflammatory, racist pull-quote, with the N-word pronounced in red letters, momentarily united the two groups.
Former high ranking Scientologist and L. Ron Hubbard confidant Gerald Armstrong claimed that those words could be attributed to the Scientology founder. While the validity of his claim cannot be verified because no copy of the letter is available, critics believe it when put in the context of other racist Hubbard statements.

While I don't condone violent protest like the Black Panthers have a history of doing, It's nice that Anonymous is getting the support of other groups of protesters as well, even if it is only fleeting.
Video is here, by the way:

In before OSA (Scientology's "Office of Special Affairs", basically their black ops) agents come in here and claim that anonymous associates with other violent protest groups.
Derp de derp.
Posted On: Thursday, May. 15 2008 @ 6:07PM"While the validity of his claim cannot be verified because no copy of the letter is available".....this is made up and pure propaganda.
Posted On: Thursday, May. 15 2008 @ 8:12PMI would caution all Anon to stay far away from those other groups. They operate a different way than we do. I don't believe being associated with them is going to help, That would easily be spun by OSA. We don't want to be linked to what those other groups will do or have done in the past.

While that particular racist snippet from Hubbard may not have a well-cited source... these do:
"The South African native is probably the one impossible person to train in the entire world — he is probably impossible by any human standard." –L. Ron Hubbard, PAB No. 119, 1 September 1957, as published in Level 0 PABS (c.1968, The American St. Hill Organization).
"…the African tribesman, with his complete contempt for truth and his emphasis on brutality and savagery for others but not for himself, is a no-civilization." –L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought, Bridge Publications: Los Angeles, 1997.
"You'll find in Africans a fantastic amount of heavy space opera and so on, going on … which makes the colored African very, very interesting to process because he doesn't know why he goes through all these dances … and why he feels so barbarous …" –L. Ron Hubbard, 1st Melbourne ACC, lecture "Principal Incidents on the Track", 27 November 1959.
"…the Zulu is only outside the bars of a madhouse because there are no madhouses provided by his tribe. … primitives are far more aberrated than civilized peoples. Their savageness, their unprogressiveness, their incidence of illness …" –L. Ron Hubbard, Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, Bridge Publications, Los Angeles, 1995
Question from a scientology "security check":
"Have you ever slept with a member of a race of another color?" –L. Ron Hubbard, HCOPL 7 April 1961, "Johannesburg Security Check"
"It is considered in England and the United States that the Government of South Africa is altogether too harsh with its native peoples. It is sadly humorous to notice that the native in South Africa, however, holds an exactly reverse opinion and the fault he finds with the South African Government is that it is far too lenient in its administration of laws throughout the native populace." –L. Ron Hubbard, PAB No. 96, "Justice", 15 September 1956
This is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to scientology, Hubbard and racism.

Posted On: Thursday, May. 15 2008 @ 9:58PMIt's great to see Anonymous out there using it's right to free speech. I used to be a Scientologist until I found out what a horribly fascist style organization it was. It's time all of America see Anonymous for what it is, a group of patriots fighting the good fight
Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 1:51AMI really like this article. Co$ has repeatedly tried to paint Anonymous as a bunch of racist white kids. This is of course not true and now there is proof.
Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 1:54AMThough it's no excuse at all, LRH was a racist product of his time. You don't have to search far to find other examples of his racism even if this reference were untrue. Search for yourself on the internet for discussions about the differences between the current 2007 edition of Dianetics and past editions and how they've had to cull all the racism out of it. (keywords - dianetics zulu racism) After all, if they are going to artificially keep it on best seller lists by buying it themselves off the shelves, better update and make it more politically correct before too many fingers get pointed. Dianetics is the tip of the iceberg. You don't have to believe me. Educate yourself. Look at both sides. Decide for yourself.
Here's a few words from LRH himself to get you started...

markus: Until the letter can be found, it might be considered "made up". However, please note he did indeed utter the hilarious phrase, "Watsa matta wichu hat?" bringing the possibility of the sentiment closer to reality than certain persons would like to think.
Unless, you know, you'd rather the psyches faked it.
Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 2:36AMThe letter may be unsubstantiated, but there are many other examples of dear old LRon spouting off racist remarks and other disparaging comments about black people and their intellectual capacity. These ARE absolutely sourceable and in some cases, even available as audio.
I will say this much for Hubbard: if you don't mind nasal intonation he had a good narrating voice when he was coherent (which was the minority of the time, it seems).
Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 2:50AMAnon is not 'associated' with the Black Panthers, nor was the sign there for that reason. It was 100% luck and no one expected it. But as they say, all support is good support. They found something in our message they supported, and they showed it. That is all.
Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 2:59AMAnonymous is VERY rooted in racism:

While the validity cannot be verified, the former Scientologist who claimed Hubbard had written this said so in a sworn affidavit which has proven to be true many times. It makes sense in the context of racist sourced quotes by L. Ron Hubbard. Furthermore, the Scientology line to dismiss any and all potential footbullets, proven and unproven, as slander and propaganda really doesn't help in increasing their credibility when they claim this is made up without providing some context and explanation as to where this possible misunderstanding might come from.
Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 7:16AMCasual contact and an exchange of information isn't exactly a "union." I'm glad that both groups were out demonstrating against things they find reprehensible -- and that they were able to share information with each other in a peaceful way.
This is a triumph, in and of itself. However, neither groups is the other's personal army. Their interests and methods remain distinct.

You never give up in your personal crusade to smear anons, do you. At least you purport it's personal. OSA much?
Also, your site is hilariously bad.
""While the validity of his claim cannot be verified because no copy of the letter is available".....this is made up and pure propaganda. "
If you are saying that the LRJ quote is "pure propaganda", I would respond that your position is less than conjecture. All the stories coming out from ex scientologists are alarming in their uniformity. To take the position you appear to take, you would have to believe everyone in the world is a liar except for COS spokespeople. Obviously, the reason why these COS spokespeople use hit and run tactics and never support their positions with facts is because the facts show that it is, in fact, a dangerous cult, monetarily profiting through the destruction of lives. The question is, where has the mainstream press been?
Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 10:13AMThe Cult of Scientology stole the best years of my life, and my bank account too! Don't let your loved ones get sucked into that darkness... I was lucky to get out before going completely insane.
Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 11:07AMDear Lucas Dobson,
Please stop the ridiculous, baseless smear campaign against Anonymous. It really is only making you look foolish. Perhaps one day you'll stop being so hateful and blind. Perhaps one day we may become friends?
Sincerely,

Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 11:47AMAwesome.
Solidarity, and freedom for all those who are oppressed.
This is an excellent story.. thank you for covering it.
Again, $cientology is exploiting it's members... especially in the sea org where they are brainwashed, work for almost nothing, and have their lives controlled to extremes (forced abortions, working every day of the week, child labour, etc).
Furthermore, $cientology the organization is basically a pyramid scheme that is exploiting peoples spirituality. It's a CRIMINAL organization no less, look up the court documents. Look into Germany, operation Snow White. Seriously.
To the issue of racial oppression. The horrible tragedy of Sean Bell... wow. I cried when I saw the nows. Horrific.
FREEDOM for ALL. No more divisions, i support anyone who stands for JUSTICE and EMANCIPATION.

Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 1:55PMYou can get a coppy of the letter if you send your creditcard number to the FBI. They have a copy of it due to the raids during the late 70's and 80's. It's a letter to his wife.
Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 5:21PMaNON, Send your credit card number and then post the letter online. Put your money where your mouth is!
Posted On: Friday, May. 16 2008 @ 9:54PMYes Lucas Dobson, Anonymous does use racist humor.
But, the thing you have to understand is, Anonymous doesn't take itself seriously. The racism is so over the top, only a moron would take it seriously. And only the ultra-sensitive weaklings looking for a fight would find it offensive or hateful, and devoid of humor.
Whether this is right or wrong, or you find it humorous it isn't the point. Anonymous believes in freedom, which includes the freedom to be perverse.
Anonymous does have hate, but that hate is directed toward being PC. Politically correct is just another way of saying "Lying to make you feel better" Or as the Church of Scientology likes to call it when they lie to the public, an "Acceptable truth", which is an oxymoron. Nothing acceptable about it.
The mostly children who are members of Anonymous should go clean their room, or maybe read an actual book or even listen to some rock and roll and dye their hair purple. Perhaps they could do something about some actual bad conditions in life (Darfur, the Middle East crisis, poverty, police brutality -- I can think of dozens of real causes). They are such completely dupes it's frightening to see them just regurgitate these lies again and again and have no idea what Scientology is or does.
L. Ron Hubbard's works speak for themselves. He wrote a constitution for an African nation (then Rhodesia) that called for one man, one vote, something that led to him being kicked out of the country by the racist government. And the whole point of Scientology is that we are spiritual beings, not bodies so right there the racism issues goes out the window. Hubbard's secular works are used in inner city communities around the country and the world to improve conditions, meaning get people off of drugs, educate them, rehabilitate criminals, etc.
And what have the members of Anonymous produced, hmmm. I'm hearing an awful lot of crickets.
Hey, if you don't like Scientology, don't do it. (Believe you me we don't want you!) But know what it is you're so adamantly against, instead of quoting anonymous letters that can't be produced. Ohhhh riiight, hiding behind that anonymous cloak is the entirety of your game. I get it!
As for me I can't wait to make my next donation to the Church. I get an actual, tangible benefit for my donations. Happy to do it, in fact. Reminds me of a story some years back when the Church asked the largest donors to the Church to speak to a media outlet. Surprise, surprise but the show didn't care to talk to them, then raised the money question.
Posted On: Tuesday, May. 20 2008 @ 12:14AMCheryl, I looked up Rhodesia online and there is no mention of Hubbard going over there and writing their constitution. Can you provide a source for your statement, that is not printed by Scientology? Also, L. Ron was notorious for making up facts about himself. He said he saw naval combat in WW2 but all documents show he was no where near combat at all.
Anonymous has produced a lot of results actually. More public awareness of CoS and their practices, more media coverage of Scientology, and spreading the idea that for a society to be open, there can be no secrets?
People hide their identity because your church has a history of bullying people and driving people to suicide. Check Paulette Cooper, Arnie Lerma, John Sweeny, Jenna Hill Miscavage and all them.
If you are truly as benevolent as you claim, you should allow all documents of your church to be viewed by the public to see what you truly stand for.
Posted On: Tuesday, May. 20 2008 @ 10:44AMI've been a Scientologist for 20 years, with a happy marriage, a strong and loving family (not all are members of my religion), a rewarding career and interesting hobbies, including work for human rights internationally.
Scientology helped me to have these things, and helped me learn to create fulfilling relationships. There's a lot of "information" on the internet that just isn't true - like small-town gossip, it's best to look for yourself to get facts, not to just rely on others' opinions.
Carol, it is great that Scientology has worked for you but doesn't it disturb you that so many people are not allowed to criticize your leadership?
And you are right people should go to the following websites for more info
www.wikipedia.com
www.xenu.net
www.exscientologykids.com
and then watch the BBC program Panorama called "Scientology and Me" and make a decision on their own.
Posted On: Tuesday, May. 20 2008 @ 12:56PMThese racist 'quotes' are red herrings to make Scientologists appear to be something they are not and to foster hatred toward Scientologists.
The silliness that is "Anonymous" is veering towards serious instigation of hate crimes. Guilt by association was a favorite tactic of McCarthyists and resulted in a very dark period of American history.
That is truly Anonymous' goal. Isolation and castigation of Scientologists and eventual harm, perhaps even death.
Anonymous may deny it and say they have altruistic purposes but, really, are we so innocent to truly believe that Anonymous is a positive, loving organization attempting something beautiful?
Nope. Just a bunch of anarchists with their own agendas and desires for notoriety even oxymoronically under the heading "Anonymous."
I wonder when Anonymous will figure out that they are just being manipulated by former Scientologists to achieve their personal ends?
I guess they probably won't. They don't seem to have the critical thinking skills to work it out.
Posted On: Tuesday, May. 20 2008 @ 2:33PM How about coming into the real world? You can sling URLs around forever, and it won't erase the fact that Scientologists are at work around the world fighting illiteracy, including more than 400 programs around the world using L. Ron Hubbard's study methods to empower people to read. And hundreds of thousands of the people helped were students in the Johannesburg suburb of Soweto. Anonymous and the other no-life haters cannot erase the work the Church's newspaper Peace and Freedom did in exposing psychiatric slave labor camps for Blacks in 1970s South Africa.
Can you deface the name of good people on the Internet? Maybe you can. But those of us with personal knowledge -- Scientologists and non-Scientologists -- will not forget the help Scientology has provided.
And as long as there are people in the real world who examine Scientology for themselves, in the real world, the religion will continue to grow as fast as it is.
Heh, don't believe me, if you are one of those people who want to know for yourself, read a book by L. Ron Hubbard, from a bookstore, from a library, and see what he says. Or check out www.scientology.org, to see what it Scientology really is.
Ron L. - Midtown Manhattan
Again, if Scientology is so benevolent why do you have to pay for their services to understand their religion? why do you have to pay to get the secret documents about Xenu? Why does Scientology hog all this for themselves and not offer it to be studied?
Scientology labels those who dare oppose them or disagree with them as terrorists, racists, communists, or whatever word they think sounds big and scary. It is documented that they believe those who oppose them are SPs and must be purged from the Earth. Anyone who opposes them is criminal in their mind, which is why you will hear what is your crime if you want to get the truth from them. Scientology will always attack and never defend because it distracts people from their draconian, cultist, practices.
Look up the Fishman Affidavit, Free Zone, Operation Snow White, Operation Freak Out, Paulette Cooper, Lisa McPherson. As more and more people blow from the church we hear more and more disturbing stories.
Scientology.org is short on all these answers and does not even describe their religion fully.
Posted On: Tuesday, May. 20 2008 @ 3:46PMAlso Ron,
None of your incidents are verifiable. Please provide sources, non-scientology related, that these events acctually happened.
Fact is, Scientology's methods are not peer reviewed and their claims that they can solve the ills of the world are dubious.
Posted On: Tuesday, May. 20 2008 @ 3:49PMI laugh whenever I hear of Scientology "study methods." If these methods were so amazing we would see real scientists peer review and study them and propose improvements and implementation in a wider range of schools. Fact is, they're merely another way for Scientology to consume another aspect of your life. The fact that they don't want anyone going near them and writing critical analysis (and if any analysis is done, they immediately rebut with results data that they can't provide proof of) is telling enough.
It doesn't matter how ineffective they are at it – Scientology wants to be your medicine, your education, your employment, everything. Falsifying statistics is child's play when all the test subjects and all of the institutions are completely under the umbrella of the ones producing the stats, and can't be seen or heard from by the outside world.
Also, to the Scientologists here, I can assure you you're all under OTIII and have no clue what you are talking about beyond all the pamphlets and fake percentages they make you memorize. But it's fine, I believe you can say nothing better, therefore I don't expect you to.
Posted On: Wednesday, May. 21 2008 @ 8:37PMseriously, is there anyone even reading this who isn't Anonymous or a Scientologist?
Anonymous: keep cool, you are doing a great job.
Scientologists: Tory Magoo tells us about your tactics. They are futile.
