The Would-Be Hubbard Biographer

Maisonneuve, a magazine which likes people to think of it as Canada’s New Yorker, uncorked a nice piece this week about a British Columbia man named Gerry Armstrong.

To the folks who write about L. Ron Hubbard and the prank he played on the world—Scientology—Armstrong’s name is very familiar, although you usually hear it uttered in a certain way. As in, “Poor Gerry Armstrong,” with a solemn shake of the head.

Read Bruce Livesey’s entertaining piece to learn how Gerry went from a man so trusted by Hubbard the old coot authorized Armstrong to write his official biography, to a bankrupt, hounded target of Scientology harrassment who risks being arrested if he ever steps foot in the United States.

Scientology has been given enough rope by its founder to hang itself.

Gerry Armstrong says:

Hey Tony:

Poor Gerry Armstrong here. Actually Hubbard authorized me to assemble an archive of his personal records and do the research for his biography. The Scientology cult hired a wog writer Omar V. Garrison to write the book, and I worked with Garrison for two years as his research assistant.

I don't know if I'd be arrested if I stepped foot in the US. There are jail sentences awaiting me in California that Scientology got by the most amazing judicial chicanery. I'm not about to enter the US anywhere right now, however, to find out if the cult has been able to make its arrest warrants nation wide.

Some day some smart and courageous US lawyer will grasp this case, which can be won and do a lot of good, and the cultists will rue the day they started the Scientology v. Armstrong war. All the documentation needed is right here:
http://www.gerryarmstrong.org/50grand/legal/

My case demonstrates that the cult and the cultists are organized universally, indeed contracted, to suppress and destroy basic human rights, including most egregiously and ironically freedom of religion.

If there's a lawyer out there who's ready and able to take on this pernicious cult, here's my contact info:

Tony scores another touchdown!

Gerry, my heart goes out to you.

scientology - shame on you! Your actions only serve to demonstrate just evil you really are.

And this is for OSA:
L. Ron Hubbard. L. Ron Hubbard. L. Ron Hubbard

I would like to see Gerry carry the banner for Great Justice in California! This court decision was an utter travesty, and the last time the court made a ruling, the travesty was continued.

It's absurd that Gerry can't even say or write the word 'Scientology' without being penalized for it in America.

Land of the Free? Not when Scientology gets its filthy paws into our justice system!
CULT! CULT! CULT! CULT!

The lawyer that wins this one will go down in history. But he or she had better be independently wealthy. In Hubbard's world, the purpose of a lawsuit is not to win, and they've proven that many times, spending millions to crush people who speak out against them.

Been There says:

Scientology is a cult. A gobal scam.

L. Ron Hubbard was nuts. His space opera and alien ramblings is crazy stuff and anyone that believes it should get their Jedi costume on and go to the nearest Starwars convention.

Folhaseca says:

Scientologists are the weakest hominids (spiritually, mentally, and physically) since the beginning of recorded time. Moreover, the fear and paranoia among the believers are palpable even to the most casual observer; as a group, Scientologists represent the least enlightened or evolved of any recognized sect in the history of mankind.
Way to go Gerry!!!

I certainly consider Gerry as one of the most brilliant minds struggling courageously against the criminal cult Scientology. He's also one of my very best friends in this struggle to destroy this brainwashing totalitarian system.
