Obama at 60% Approval in Poll; Rightbloggers Declare Fraud

Categories: Exploring the Right Wing Blogosphere, Politics
tomorrowright.jpgThere has been an enormous loss of jobs in Obama's first month in office and several market reversals, and 76 percent of those surveyed in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll think the economy will get worse. But the poll still shows President Obama with 60 percent approval and 67 percent favorability ratings. 41 percent think the country's headed in the right direction -- not great, but up from 26 percent in January. The Republican Party, in contrast, finds its favorability "at an all-time low."

Rightbloggers labor to understand why a desperate nation is willing to give a charismatic new president such trust. Many, expectedly, dismiss the poll as a fraud.

Macmind notes that more Democrats than Republicans were surveyed, which, though there are more Democrats than Republicans in the nation as well, he finds proof of a plot. "I knew the media is drinking the Obama Juice, but now they're getting drunk on it," he says. "Little wonder no one trusts them and they are going bankrupt."

The Other McCain is outraged to discover the poll surveyed "Random adults! Not 'registered voters.' Certainly not 'likely voters.' Just random adults." Of course he was not happy with the methodology of the November 4 Obama poll, either.

"The 'poll shows gap between popularity of president and his policies,'" says Battling Conservative Correctness. "Now what kind of jourlinistic [sic] shit is this??? This is total crap and MSNBC knows this. They know lots of people skim the headlines and want to make Obama look good. How can he look good?" etc.

Power Line is uninterested in such polls, asserting that the only one that matters is the one controlled by stockbrokers or, as they affectionately refer to it, "Mr. Market."

Others put their hope in future disasters. "I'm thinking if things keep going south and the gravity mentioned below does kick in we might eventually see a very sudden drop," optimistically concludes Riehl World View.

"Silver lining: 53 percent now say the Iraq war has been very or somewhat successful, up 10 points from last year," says Hot Air. "So Bush may yet have a legacy even if we, er, never get elected again."

Mr. Steele just got his first lesson.

Big fat white man tells black token to shut up, so black man apologizes.

All this in front of the world media. Did Mr. Steele think the republican party got its support from white southerners in the 1960s and 70s by supporting equal rights, integrations, etc.?

A little history lesson comes home and the Republican party increases its white membership in the process.

The biggest opposition to Obama came from republican whites and we know what the party of Lincoln thinks of black skin. They may be trying to show color (poor Jindal) but really what do they believe?

It is the party of the white man, white men with fat wallets to protect.

If you're going to challenge their ability to avoid taxes and take everything they can, you're going to get a lot of heat.

Go Obama.

Who cares what the hypocrite, pill-popping, lard ass Limbaugh thinks, says or mocks? …...enough!!
We (Americans) are going down in a ball of flames and all I have been hearing about is the divisiveness in the GOP. I lost my business, my Ira is dropping like a stone, and the equity in my house is basically where it was 20 years ago. I played by the rules…went to college, built an honest business and raised a family.
How in God’s name will we get out of this mess? …stay focused on the economy, support the President and hopefully, my children will have it better than we have it presently.

Don't get too excited, Obama12. Remember, just a couple years back Rove thought there would be a Republican majority for a generation. Things change fast.

The last time the GOP destroyed our economy (see great depression) it was almost 20 years before we got another Republican president. Hopefully it will be longer this time.

You bloggers are all smoking crack. Read your history, no socialist government has ever been successful. The Democratic party didn't want to release the slaves the Republicans did it. Republicans didn't put up the rebel flag on South Carolina state grounds in the early 70's, Democrats did. You've have been fooled by so called news reporters. If the Dems are so great why are we in this mess..they've been in charge if both houses for the better part of 50 years and started this housing mess under the orders of Clinton. Every time Obama speaks the market goes down, because those people know that it will not work. Taxes loses jobs, not create them, and if you’re dependent on the Government for help, you’re in for a rude awakening. What I'm reading is pure racist, and letting your mouth write checks your ass can’t cash. You'll be singing a different story when your taxes go through the roof . Enjoy your "Good Ol' Boy" party.

Scott says:

Education lesson to all you Libiots out there.

Point 1) Michael Steele is the chair of the Republican National Committee. He doesn't speak or represent every republican voter. Conjointly, Rush is a die hard conservative. He doesn't speak for the republican party. He speakers to conservatives. There is a HUGE, HUGE difference. Bush ran our country like a democrat when it came to spending. Medicare Part D entitlement program was a very liberal piece of legislation and (unfortunately) for us younger people over 75% of Seniors are happy with their Medicare Part D drug plan. Meaning it is never going away and we are stuck paying for this program that is great if you are a Senior.

Point 2) Ron Paul is a liberitarian but unfortunately because our country is so whacked out of it's mind regarding political parties, Paul had no choice but to run on the republican ticket. Is Paul a Republican? Absolutely not! To comopare Paul to Bush or to all republicans or conservatives is like comparing the Democratic Party in the South in the late 1800's to the liberals now in San Fran.

People you cannot judge a person on what party line they fall under.

For some crazy reason John McCain calls himself a Republican. He is not. He wanted to pass far left immigration laws that no conservative or moderate democrat would ever go for. Hell Rush said I would rather vote for Hillary than McCain. So to call McCain a true republican or true conservative is absolutely disgraceful.

The Media of our country is so horrible at telling the truth (on both sides).

Let me give you all an example. The other day (for the hell of it) I went to Foxnews.com. On the homepage, there was an advertisement paid for the by NY Times offering 50% off an annual subscription.

Now for any of you that pay attention to the news you should know that the NY Times and Foxnews hate each other and have hated each other for many many years.

In the end of the day people, Fox News needs the NY Times and the NY Times needs Fox news.
Just like
Keith Olberjerk needs Sean Hannity and Sean Hannity needs Olbermann.

I hope you are smart enough to all realize this.

Obama has some good qualities and some bad. He has some good policies and some bad. Just as John McCain had some good ideas and bad.

No politician is perfect or so incredible that he or she cannot do anything wrong.

Geezus open your eyes everyone. Stop watching Bill O'Reilly, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Sean Hannity.

Be an independent thinker. It's free. Take advantage of it.

Looks like a few of them even got on tv!!! the fact that the republicans in the southern half of the united states believed that obama had relations with osama because of his middle name, shows more about the sheepism of the party, than the alleged left wing 'NWO'. or are these same morons oblivious to the war in afghanistan over oil!?! and then iraq>!

Obama sounded good at first but now he has tried to install tax cheats and lobbyists refuting his promise. For some reason which is driving many Americans away... he has refused to make his academic transcripts or birth certification available. This is a "my dog ate my homework" excuse and as Americans watch him wreck the stock market, he wants to try to get something started with an old white man to spin? Give me a break. Obama comes from orrupt Senate Seat and as he is from so he does.

It is up to the American people to get us out of this mess. We need to stand together to fix it. It's going to take time, but letting the governement take over is the worst thing we can let happen. Jobs come from the PRIVATE SECTOR. We need to keep our jobs going and stop listening to the media. Our future children are going to be paying the mistakes we leave these RICH politicians in charge of. Lets get rid of government SALARIES and help create more money for schools and jobs!!!

If Limbaugh was talking about about Obama failing to nationalize companies, to spend the country into insurmountable debt, to create a mandatory "youth brigade", to fund Hamas, to tax the job creators directly, to tax everyone else indirectly, to get away with hiding his eligibility status, to allow a Wall Street tax cheat to run the treasury, then yes, I agree with Rush. Maybe he was talking about something else...

Obama is a joke. Sorry to all you Obama-ites but it's true. The boy (yes, I said boy) is in way over his head. It shows.

Probably was in over his head as a community organizer. What ever happened to that neighborhood anyway?

Just the other day he showed his lack of class and diplomacy to our closest ally - England. Poor little Obama tired. Goo hoo. And oh boy, he gave Gordon Brown a bunch of DVDs that you can buy in Walmart. Way to go, Obama you jerk!

He will ruin this country! Enjoy it now, Obama-ites. The boy won't get elected again.

Begone Barack, you classless fool. Most of the blogs say he was rude to Gordon Brown. But I'm not so sure. It may have been that he is just plain ignorant.
