From the folks at Our Country Deserves Better, which you may recall tried this year to keep Democrats from holding Kirsten Gillibrand's old House seat by telling voters that House candidate Scott Murphy hated U.S. troops, has just put out this ad comparing the President of the United States to Adolf Hitler. (They also throw in Ahmadinejad, just for shits and giggles.) These people just aren't enjoying representative democracy like they used to. The obvious solution: more tea parties! (h/t Rumproast)

Steve Simpson says:

Roy,

A slight correction to your blog posting. The government is not a representative democracy, nor has it ever been. The government is a representative republic. We do not not have a direct government ruled by the majority. We have a representative government ruled by law. The founders wer very clear about this distinction between a republic and a democracy.
