Car Crashes Into Joseph Leonard Restaurant on Waverly
A silver Honda Civic smashed into the Joseph Leonard restaurant at 170 Waverly Place this morning, then rolled till it came to rest in front of the Chinese massage parlor at 43 Christopher Street. "Driver was a female," reports our hard-bitten legman Robert Sietsema, who was on the scene. "She stepped out of the car and blacked out... No one, not even the police, can quite figure out the path the car took after smashing into the restarant, then getting around a tree and garden that separates Grove Street and Christopher Street, then ramming into the store." The restaurant, you will see from the photo below, seems undamaged.
