​Sarah Palin, or maybe her ghostwriter, wrote in Palin's new book about sharing a hypothetical cup of coffee with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. On Meet the Press today, David Gregory passed the idea along to Clinton, who said OK.

The passage reads

Should Secretary Clinton and I ever sit down over a cup of coffee, I know that we will fundamentally disagree on many issues. But my hat is off to her hard work on the 2008 campaign trail. A lot of her supporters think she proved what Margaret Thatcher proclaimed. 'If you want something said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman.'

Palin was not always a great fan of Hillary's, but it's possible her own experience with the national media has led her to reconsider her female politicians shouldn't whine about the press stance.

Although, if you come to think of it, she already pretty much addressed that by ceasing to be a female politician.

The Secretary's own desire to connect apparently also has its limits. Although she says she'd be interested in meeting Palin and making a case on some of the issues they disagree on, she doesn't plan to read more than "snippets" of the book any time soon, because she has "more than I can say grace over to read."
