​If you're wondering about the reindeer and snowmen that went into the window this week at the old Tower Records (on the corner of East 4th and Lafayette), it's the Brooklyn Flea's pop-up holiday market, Gifted, or -- as we fondly call it -- "the place where we're totally doing all of our holiday shopping."

Just look at this hip lineup of vendors:

In God We Trust (for awesome jewelry), Erica Weiner (for more awesome jewelry), Kate Durkin (adorable animal-shaped pillows), Book City Jackets (cool book covers), Maptote (for those sweet Brooklyn-map book bags all the Williamsburg girls have), Bowhaus NYC (gifts for the hip pet), ddott (quirky linens and stationery) -- and the list goes on and on.

Bonus: If you go when it opens at noon on Black Friday, you probably won't be trampled to death (flea-market shoppers are not violent people). It continues through Sunday and runs December 2 to 6, 9 to 13, and 16 to 24.

Also worth checking out: the Bowery Bazaar, a new home for indie designers at 351 Bowery and 3rd Street. Going on its fourth weekend, the space is open Fridays to Sundays and the owner plans to keep it running even after the holidays.

Though the majority of the vendors offer such run-of-the-mill items as homemade soaps, knitted hats, and T-shirts, there are a few young designers who made us take a second look. If you can get over the label's name, Fancy Sexy Me, you may be able to enjoy their gold necklaces with the heads of Mr. T and Chuck Norris for $30. The jewelry made from bullet casings by Astali (pictured) are also on our wish list. Nancy Chuang of the online consignment shop Covet has a great mix of shoes, dresses, bags, and sweaters for decent prices (a Helmut Lang sweater in excellent condition for $100? Not bad).

And, most importantly, fresh-baked brownies and cookies from the Brooklyn-based Michael Allen Desserts -- to calm your holiday-shopping anxiety.
