​Love is supposed to be everlasting. Unfortunately for many, the only permanent thing to come out of a relationship is an incurable sexually transmitted disease.

And that's why Cyrus Sullivan, of Portland, Ore., claims that he runs STD Carriers Disease Control and Prevention Services, a website that lists claimed and confirmed carriers by their names, locations, descriptions, and sometimes their photos.

The database is completely open to the public -- you don't have to login to browse the listings, and many of the recently added carriers' pics are displayed prominently on the site's front page. Users submit photos freely. There are about 1,500 listings.

From the workmanlike design and sluggish flash slideshow and bizarre comparisons between Pearl Harbor's "hostile Asian men" and STD awareness, you might get the impression that Sullivan, who also runs an online reputation-management business, operates with a tongue-in-cheek M.O.

And you'd be wrong: Sullivan is for real and his work (for better or for worse) is heartfelt, -- and he has updated his site just in time for Valentine's Day.

From the mission statement: "It is our goal that by promoting the sharing of information that we can ultimately protect you health from dangerous diseases while protecting your civil liberties and providing quality entertainment."

Because the Rapture will descend on this mortal coil Saturday and whoosh away all "true followers" of Christ, many forward-thinking sinners are already planning ahead for that Holy Vaccuum. Specifically, the immediate wake, when the born-again folks have been sucked up to Heaven, the earthquake is over, and the remaining unsaved baddies will be left standing around, wondering where all those cute blue-haired Wal-Mart greeters went. There's even a Facebook event invite for that window of time, three uninterrupted hours of zealous "Post-Rapture Looting." (Update: The event creator speaks!)

​Just a reminder: Doomsday is coming on May 21, a scant 15 days away. So start collecting bottled water and flare guns.

We learned this from a woman passing out fliers near the shuttle stop in Grand Central Station. We also learned this from an advertisement in the East 96th Street subway station. The MTA always reminds straphangers, "If you see something, say something." But the agency green-lights an advertisement that claims the world will end in a giant earthquake? Hmmm. (Maybe they aren't taking it as seriously as we are.)

("a girl looking for love on the boardwalk -- one full of big hair, dark tans, and fights galore," according to Simon & Shuster). What's the cover? (Check here for Foster's suggestion.) Will she byline it with her nickname, "Snooki," her church name "Nicole Polizzi," or her media name "Nicole (Snooki) Polizzi"? Will she dot the i's with hearts?
