If you've ever wanted to own a piece of Staten Island history, now is your chance! The Herbert H. Lehman ferry boat is now for sale on eBay. It was built in 1965 for a cost of $42 million and the starting bid is only $500,000. What a bargain! It was retired from service 4 years ago and has been in the Ferry old age home ever since. It's looking for a new owner to put some life back into it. It's 297 feet long and 69 feet wide and it's still bright orange. Cute! But what would you do with an old ferry? Don't worry, we've been thinking about this for years.
Hosni Mubarak, the embattled Egyptian dictator, is for sale on eBay with bidding still at the low, low price of $90.00 at the moment, with only 12 bids in. From Art Threat comes news of the odd auction, which says that "100% of the final sale price will support Oxfam America." 
That's right. Our great state, saddled with debt, started a little business on the side, selling junk on internet auction site eBay, according to a report in the Daily News. The Office of General Services is in charge of the peddling and spokesperson said they are "very pleased with the program." As they should be! In 2010, they raked in over $1 million. 
"If you win this auction I will mail you a piece of paper revealing the true identity of "Banksy": This according to Ebay seller daigroandujo, who leaves us public folk only six more days to elbow our way to the prize of an English man's privacy. Perhaps the morning trudge from bed to bathroom will make a detour to the medicine cabinet for a healthy dose of skepticism?
