These signs appeared on Nassau Avenue near McGolrick Park, which part of Greenpoint has thus far seen few hipster incursions from the more glamorous precincts of Little Loftland and thereabouts. Now the writing's on the wall, or pole: soon after "Flight of the Conchords" will come "Law & Order," with the TV cops hassling the habitues of fictional Greenpoint hotspots. The kids will come, old laundromats will turn into clubs, and the dream will be over. Next stop, Maspeth!

YouTube, in other words, is sending Rush Limbaugh down the tubes.

Right-wingers dominated the air waves for decades and were the early users of the Internet, compared with lefties, as I noted nearly a decade ago in the Voice in "Left Behind".

Now the left has overtaken the right. Also endangered are the establishment's talking-head TV shows, like the one Tim Russert hosted.

The news that Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich (D-Ohio) introduced articles of impeachment against President Bush sparked a spirited debate here yesterday. It's pretty clear that history will judge George W. Bush as one of the worst presidents ever—if not the worst. But how will history remember Kucinich?

Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich defied his party leadership on Monday by calling for the impeachment of U.S. President George W. Bush for launching the Iraq war -- but his move was not expected to go anywhere.

The Ohio representative outlined his intention to propose more than two dozen charges against Bush on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Kucinich, a former presidential candidate, accused Bush executing a "calculated and wide-ranging strategy" to deceive citizens and Congress into believing that Iraq posed an imminent threat to the United States.

Conservative constitutional scholar Bruce Fein and The Nation's John Nichols have both made compelling arguments for impeachment from the conservative and progressive perspectives including a bi-partisan appeal on Bill Moyer's Journal last July.
