"Baby, baby, baby, oooooooh/I though you'd never steal my perfuuume."
Justin Bieber's perfume business, as sickly popular as his music, has attracted its own bootleggers. Last week the city filed suit against a Midtown perfumerie over the sale of knockoff Justin Bieber scents, after nearly a 10-month-long involvement by the NYPD. Poor, sad Justin Bieber. Will he ever learn to trust again?

Justin Bieber Will Not Be in NYC at the Same Time as Barack Obama This Week

bieber sad tweet .png
Last week, many New Yorkers were under the impression that Justin Bieber was scheduled to be here for the Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting at the same time that President Obama planned to come to NYC for fundraisers. This would be spell doom for everyone's commute, which is already hard.

Good news: Bieber's not coming! (The President still is, though.)

Justin Bieber and Barack Obama Coming to the City Next Week to Ruin Your Commute

obama bieber tweet .png
For the second time in six months, Justin Bieber and President Obama are coming to New York simultaneously. Next Wednesday, the pair -- who are buddies, kind of -- will cause traffic to be horrible all over the city. They're not coming here to hang out together, although maybe they can squeeze in some time; Obama is coming for a series of fundraisers, while Bieber is performing with Michael Buble and Cee-Lo Green at the Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting.

Barack Obama and Justin Bieber Both in Town to Make Your Commute Miserable

justin-bieber-one-time-music-video.jpg
Today in your why is it taking me so freaking long to get where I want to go news: Two extremely famous world powers are in New York City today, on the very same day. This is unprecedented! They are: President Obama and Justin Bieber. Obama, of course, is in town for fundraisers in Midtown and the Upper East Side, including a $1,250-a-ticket dinner hosted by Neil Patrick Harris at the Democratic National Committee's Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Gala. After that he'll go to a $35,800-a-ticket dinner at Daniel on the Upper East Side, and then he'll attend a fundraising performance of Sister Act. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber is on The View this morning and later will visit Macy's to promote his new perfume, "Bieber Smell" (Correction: "Someday"). That is going to be crazy, obviously. Plan your travel accordingly, or just hide under your bed all day. [NBC NY]

Because it's Sunday and the miners are out and -- no matter what -- you're going to be hearing about this for the next week at least, we might as well get it out of the way: Justin Bieber hit a 12-year-old during a game of laser tag. It's less ridiculous than it sounds because it sounds totally absurd, but you have to remember he is a 16-year-old boy and will never in his life be able to play a normal game of laser tag. That makes the whole thing sort of sad.

Justin Bieber Contributes to Kiddie-Celeb Autobiography Genre

bieber.jpeg
Justin Bieber, tween pop heartbreaker extraordinaire, is writing a memoir entitled Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever: My Story. Whether or not the "writing" will be done by the 16-year-old Bieb himself, this represents an important new addition to a time-honored genre -- autobiographies "written" by kids who've been on this earth less than 20 years.

Red Alert: Twitter Killed Justin Bieber!

justin-bieber.jpg
Death, taxes, and Justin Bieber trending on Twitter, right? Not anymore, according to Mashable, which is reporting that the 140-character empire has shifted its trending topics algorithm to favor what's "most breaking" and "immediately popular."

The tech blog confirmed that "on Wednesday [Twitter] made updates to improve the relevancy of trending topics. In the past, trending topics were dominated by consistently popular items (e.g. Justin Bieber) with little regard as to what was 'hot' at any given moment."

But isn't Bieber hot at every moment?
