Cops Bust Bodega Worker Ismael Duran for Not Selling Booze to Minor

If you sell alcohol to a minor, you can get arrested.

And if you do not sell alcohol to a minor, you can apparently also get arrested.

No, really.

The Daily News tells the story of Ismael Duran, a father of three who immigrated to the U.S. from the Dominican Republic three years ago. Duran works at the Giselle Mini Mart in Brownsville. When 18-year-old undercover cop Anthony Harriott tried to buy Smirnoff Ice, Duran checked his I.D. and refused, as Harriott is a minor.

Fake Real Estate Agent on the Loose in New York City

As if finding a decent apartment that you can actually afford in New York City isn't hard enough, there are more than anyone's fair share of shoddy brokers to contend with -- the ones who seem to do little more than open a door for you and give you grief about your expectations, yet require nearly two month's rent. But even worse, there are actual fake real estate agents, like this guy, who has perhaps the most un-intimidating mugshot of all time. Don't let the glasses or sleepy countenance or delicate bone structure fool you -- he is dangerous.

Police Seek Catwoman

via New York Post
A woman wearing a cat mask has been on something of a mission, stealing from stores in the East Village and Queens -- most recently the Arche shoe store on Astor Place and The Body Shop in Forest Hills, reports the New York Post. She was caught on video at Arche, where she browsed for 45 minutes and then donned a cat mask (her timing seems to negate the point of a disguise, but maybe she just feels more comfortable that way?) before passing a note to the worker at the shop that read "Give me the money.
