​Amidst the News Corp. hearing comes even more insanity. Breaking news: A man attempts to attack Rupert Murdoch with...a pie? A tin filled with foam? The wannabe attacker was attacked by Murdoch's wife, Wendi Deng, who "slammed him in the face." He, then, was escorted out by police with something white all over his face. This all seems quite the metaphor for something. (Murdoch has been commended for continuing on in the circumstances.)

​Graduation is upon us, which means... commencement speeches will soon commence (indeed, some already have). The question on the minds of everyone who hasn't yet graduated: If you have a shitty speaker, does that mean you'll have a shitty post-graduate life? Poor Libby, who revised and modernized Emily Post's classic Etiquette six times, had been "appalled by the state of manners in recent years," according to her daughter-in-law Peggy Post -- especially, we imagine, by website commenters and the audacity of certain bloggers, not to mention all those hoochies slutting around and revealing their bra colors on Facebook.
