​Jonathan May-Bowles, the man who famously threw a pie in the face of Rupert Murdoch during the media mogul's hearing last month, has just updated his blog from jail. Bowles, who often goes by the name "Jonnie Marbles," posts on a blogspot domain called "Anarch*ish*." He has posted twice since being sentenced and gives a look into his world during his six-week stint in Wandsworth Prison.

​Amidst the News Corp. hearing comes even more insanity. Breaking news: A man attempts to attack Rupert Murdoch with...a pie? A tin filled with foam? The wannabe attacker was attacked by Murdoch's wife, Wendi Deng, who "slammed him in the face." He, then, was escorted out by police with something white all over his face. This all seems quite the metaphor for something. (Murdoch has been commended for continuing on in the circumstances.)

​News Corp chairman and unwitting prankster Rupert Murdoch doesn't get this whole "Summer Friday" thing. Back in his day, the workweek started on Monday, and didn't end until you'd enslaved a few nation-states (Saturday around 3 p.m.ish). ​Rupert Murdoch Is Old! week continues. New York writer Gabriel Sherman's profile on News Corp's geriatric general dropped yesterday, bringing forth the question of just how old, scrappy, and bloodthirsty the Grumpy Old Mogul is. Primarily of concern was how he was going to make the New York Times die before he does. Then yesterday afternoon, the Times stock rose 7% on rumors and speculation that Mexican billionaire NYT shareholder Carlos Slim was going to buy the rest of the company. Which Slim denied. This is good for Murdoch, because apparently, Carlos Slim buying the Times would've really thrown him for a loop. Because Slim's a Mexican. And Mexicans don't buy newspapers.

Because they're Mexican.
