It has been less than 48 hours since anti-Islamic subway ads went up in 10 New York City subway stops, and -- as we predicted/perhaps encouraged -- several of them already have been vandalized.

In one case of alleged vandalism -- which was caught on tape, and you can see below -- a self-described Egyptian-American named Mona Elthaway spray paints not only one of the ads but also a woman who was trying to protect it.

There's a reason you see an army of law-enforcement officials armed with semi-automatic weapons in New York City's subways: Public transportation in New York City is a prime target for terrorists who want to blow us up.

So where better to place provocative ads insulting Muslim jihadists than New York City subway stops, right? Because insulting Muslim extremists has always worked out for the best -- just ask Salman Rushdie.

Regardless, next week, you can expect to start seeing ads popping up on New York City subways inferring that Muslim jihadists are not "civilized man" but "savages." You can also expect a lot of people to be pissed off about it -- because A) it suggests that all Muslims are America-hating savages hell-bent on Jihad, which they're not, and B) it seems to invite the very violence it's advocating against from a group of people whose conflict-resolution skills could use a little work.

Call us crazy (read: rational), but we're gonna go ahead and assume that Hillary Clinton aide/wife of former Congressman Anthony Weiner, Huma Abedin, isn't a Muslim Brotherhood operative who's infiltrated the highest levels of government -- including marrying a once-powerful New York congressman -- in a plot to turn America into an Islamic stronghold.

As we reported in a prior post, Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann apparently doesn't find the aforementioned scenario as unlikely as we do -- and she's apparently not alone.

Despite several high-ranking Republicans (who still actually have jobs in government) -- like Senator John McCain and House Speaker John Boehner -- calling Bachmann out for her insulting witch-hunt, former House speaker/presidential candidate Newt Gingrich seems to think modern-day McCarthyism isn't the worst thing in the world.

Huma Abedin is an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She also happens to be Muslim, which according to Minnesota maniac Michele Bachmann also makes her a terrorist.

As you may have heard, failed GOP presidential candidate/Minnesota Congresswoman/fagala-phobic madwoman Michele Bachmann has launched a McCarthy-esque witch hunt into several Muslim employees of the federal government whom she decided could potentially be working as spies for Islamist terrorist groups.

One of the targets of Bachmann's bat-shittery is Huma Abedin -- a longtime aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and wife of shamed former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner -- who happens to be Muslim.

Last week, just to get it on the record that Bachmann's a lunatic and that Abedin's not a terrorist, Arizona Senator John McCain gave a lengthy speech on the floor of the U.S. Senate in support of Abedin's patriotism, and criticizing Bachmann's being a fear-mongering nutjob.

Now, because McCain doesn't think that being Muslim necessarily means Abedin is a terrorist, a group of Tea Party sand-billies in McCain's home state is trying to get him booted from office.

The woman on the ground was shot nine times -- as men cheered -- for allegedly cheating on her husband.

Just in case you didn't already think the Taliban was a murderous gang of shit-bags, we bring you the latest "honor killing" of a woman in Afghanistan. Her alleged crime: adultery.

The cowardly murder was caught on video, which you can see below.

The three-minute video was originally obtained by Reuters, and shows the woman on her knees before a man approaches her with an automatic rifle.

According to Al Jazeera, the woman -- who is thought to be named Najibia -- was married to a Taliban officer, but had an affair with another member of the extremist group.

In the video, more than 100 men are seen cheering "God is great" as one of the men shoots the woman nine times.

According to the latest Quinnipiac University poll, 54% of people agree that the developers of Park51 have the right to build a mosque near Ground Zero. However, almost that same percentage (53%) thinks that they should not be able to build the mosque there due to the sensitivities of 9/11 relatives. Confused yet?

Apropos of nothing -- except the whole Islamophobia talking point inspired by that community center downtown (or as people who aren't from New York/are directionally impaired/are reality-impaired call it, the "Ground Zero Mosque") has inspired over the last week or two -- here's a nice way to demonstrate just how much of the world's minority are angry, terrified Americans in regards to the world's Muslims.
