Rudy Giuliani Better Say "I'm Running"or We're Going to Stop Caring

Just say it already!
Last month we urged our old mayor to give becoming the POTUS another try. We think that he might have heard our calls. He said last night on CNBC that he would "take a look at 2012. It's really a question of, can I play a useful role, would I have a chance of getting the nomination?" Oh, come on, Rudy, stop tippy-toe-ing around. Video of his remarks about China and the presidency after the jump.

Rudy Giuliani Should Really Run For President

giulianinew.jpg
The world is getting a lot of mixed messages today about the possibility of a Rudy Giuliani presidential run. This morning, we pointed you toward a report in the New York Post's Page Six indicating that Giuliani may very well be putting out feelers to a team of potential advisers and that he's even "confident that he'd have a chance to win." CBS has since confirmed Page Six's initially dubious report, but on Morning Joe this morning Giuliani said, "I haven't rounded up my political advisers. Of course, I keep it in the back of my mind." This has always been his problem though, this whole noncommittal thing.

Times Square Peep-O-Rama Sign Just Totally Emasculated Now

Once upon a time, long, long ago, there was a gritty and wild land in the middle of Manhattan. Sex could be bought, or at least watched for a fee. Lawlessness and perversions abounded! And then, a man named Rudy Giuliani rode in on his metaphorical white horse and the Disneyification of Times Square began in earnest. Today all that remains of Peep-O-Rama, the porn emporium that held out the longest, is the neon sign (at right) that once marked its sordid existence.

Rudy "Portraits Are for Dead People" Giuliani Pretty Happy With Likeness of Self

Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor, "quality of life" enforcer, ferret-hater, finally agreed to have his portrait painted despite picture-makers being able to steal your soul when they paint your eyes. And now it's done, and he's pretty darn happy with the results.

Like Her Father Before Her, Caroline Giuliani Cleaned Shit Up in New York City

Hey, Girl
There was a time when Caroline Giuliani's arrest for stealing make-up from Sephora seemed sort of glamorous. We all miss Winona. But the allure is a lot less when it comes to the (notably minor) consequences, which included a day of community service cleaning toilets in the Lower East Side, according to the Daily News. There was also sweeping and dealing with garbage at Pier 36 for her to hit her eight hours, but that works a little bit less with the obvious jokes about her dad. Though, "taking out the trash" is okay. Also buried in the piece is an update on Giuliani's acting career, which seemed like the impetus for this whole stealing and then looking really stylish thing in the first place.

Sephora To Press Charges Against Giuliani's Daughter, Keep This Fame Train Rolling

20100806_carolinegiuliani_560x375.png
Despite initially opting not to cooperate with an investigation, the cosmetics company will now file charges against ex-Mayor Rudy Giuliani's estranged daughter Caroline, a 20-year-old Harvard senior and aspiring actress, the Daily News is reporting. Caroline, who was carrying over $300 in her wallet, tried to walk out with $150 in beauty products on Wednesday, but was caught and booked, eventually turning the whole thing into an epic stunt by leaving the police station looking better than she entered -- sly and sexy. Should the DA decide to pursue the case, that means more court dates, more tabloid covers, more photos, more exposure. For probation? Sick deal.

Street Vendors Still Scared of Rudy Giuliani: "You Don't Mess With His Little Girl"

In the aftermath of the Caroline Giuliani shoplifting incident, what has surprised us hasn't been the fact that she shoplifted (seems like a clear case of Winona Ryder Syndrome, paired with an array of "Getting Back at Daddy" issues, not that we're therapists or anything).

Caroline Giuliani Arrested for Shoplifting at Sephora

giulianifamvv.jpg
Uh oh. According to the New York Post, Caroline Giuliani -- Rudy's 20-year-old daughter -- was busted for shoplifting today at Sephora of all places, that magical, monstrous beauty store you may have heard of if you are or know of any women or metrosexually inclined fellows. Giuliani was reportedly caught at the store's Upper East side location at 86th and Lexington at approximately 3:30.
